IMO this is NOT Bullying... the only times...

that bullying has occured throughout the series are these moments IMO:

1. Sophie BB3. It was not needed, any arguments normally have a purpose, she just came in and got IMO victimised.

2. Sam BB6. This was vicious, it wasnt the usual shouting, it was very threatening. Howeer nothing was done with this. Lesley said "I will get you when we get outside this house" which obviously makes a violent threat to her.

3. Shahbaz BB7. This was probably the actual biggest cause of bullying in the house, and Im shocked Ofcom did not recieve many complaints (i was talking about this in Media earlier, how back in these days we didnt think it was a big deal until the race row, now we tread on eggshells. All against one, and lets not forget that BB7 started out with the same amount as BB11 has now (14), so it was 13 against 1 housemate. taking his clothes when he was in the pool, locking him in the garden and shouting him down whenever he spoke.

4. Freddie BB10. Exactly like Shahbaz tbh, but this time Freddie actually had a couple of people who was on his side, but the others just wanted to put him down.

Other moments that come close but i dont see as bullying are:
Sam BB7, Sara BB9 and Mo BB9 (this was only one night and was a drunken cause).

Do you agree?

Rob! 17-06-2010 07:39 PM

Shabaz probably was bullied...unfortuantly not enough viewers liked him to complain...eek.

Bigbrofan25 17-06-2010 07:41 PM

yes dude I agree

Jordan. 17-06-2010 07:42 PM

Shahbaz brought it on himself IMO agreed with the others though

pixee 17-06-2010 07:42 PM

I don't know I'll have to see tonights HL show, so far no. Freddie was bad but didn't look as bad cause he wasn't totally alone.

very much so, and excellent post.

People that throw words like 'bully', 'victim', and 'abuse' around when it is so far from the truth are just projecting their own issues onto the show imo.

It's one of the main reasons that BB has become neutered over the years.

I agree, I'll be seriously annoyed if JJ is told off. He hasn't bullied anyone. He was only wrong over the dinner table because she wasn't being a bitch to anyone. BUT, he tells her what she's done wrong... Rachael's sly about stuff.

BB10 Sree was some pretty disgusting bullying but what happened is that people disliked him so instead of complaining they said things like '..well its his fault for not doing what they tell him'.
Which was actually the really disgusting part of it for me. That so many viewers had 'morally relative' standards or just decided it was not 'bullying' in the same way whipping a slave is not 'bullying' but what ought to be done.

Anyways,
So far not seeing a lot of problems this season. For the most part the men may not all like each other but are have been very civil and respecting each others space. Shabby may 'want' or 'attempt' to bully men and women alike but so far its not working.

Steve could have been a threat for bullying and especially with his military background and the fact he looks like a damn Terminator Cyborg,
yet,
don't see any aggression or pushing anyone around or anything from him.

So far so good this season!

I do think it's bullying.

Repeatedly putting down someone to the point of them crying on multiple occasions, as well as trying to seclude the person from the rest of the group by telling other people to ignore them is bullying in both social and verbal forms. If John James was unattractive, I HIGHLY doubt as many people would be on his side.

Niamh. 17-06-2010 07:51 PM

also Shilpa from CBB

Tbf, Sree brought most of that on himself. He was a bit of a twat imo.

SHAHBAZ was the biggest cock in BB history, and I don't care if I sound harsh here, but he deserved to be bullied. The man's behaviour was simply unacceptable and he deserved the victimization. He was a rude, nasty, attention-seeking twat that needed telling straight.

I kind of agree with all the others though. Also, Bea last year did a bit of bullying, mainly to David.

No one deserves to be bullied.

I think there's a line though. And Shahbaz crossed it IMO. I can see what you mean, but I really do think Shahbaz WAS that bad

chauncey 17-06-2010 09:23 PM

He's crackers. When he rounded on her during the task when she made a little joke about enjoying the food? That is bullying behaviour;jumping on someones every comment until they feel so unconfident they don't feel like speaking;which Rachael has said today she feels like.

Some fools on here seem to think just because incorrect bullying accusations have been thrown around before or,because it hasn't built up over a long
period of time, it's not bullying.

Whether it's been happening for 3 days or 3 months JJ IS bullying her.Would you be happy with someone treating your litttle sister or your mum like JJ is treating Rachael?

Fine he doesn't like her;then leave her alone, stop picking at every comment and movement she makes.JJ is a nasty, nasty person.

it's NOT bullying!!

she cries because she can't take being pulled up about anything. maybe she's been surrounded by 'yes' people too much. plus, she started crying the other night when he WASN'T there

i mean, come on, she needs to grow up a bit and stick up for herself instead of pulling tears when she's called out

ILoveTRW 17-06-2010 09:26 PM

aw i loved sophie, one of the most underrated housemates ever
she was just so real

bansheewails 17-06-2010 09:28 PM

I wouldn't call it bullying, he is just a self serving, arrogant, knob who believes the public is on his side.

Sigh, victim blaming.Yes it's HER fault for crying after being systematically targetted, verbally attacked, and character assassinated for 3 days. Not the fault of the guy doing it,no???

Funny how JJ fans don't address that NO ONE in the house supports his behaviour towards Rachael, even his closest friends, they all say he's going too far and needs to move on,yet people on here are justifying his behaviour.

well, 1. my sister wouldn't have the attitude that she does
and 2. she wouldn't burst into tears like a pathetic child

my daughter cries when she's given into trouble...she EIGHT!!
if she cries to me about someone being horrible to her, i send her out to stick up for herself.

my daughter HAS been bullied in the past, so i've not got my head in the sand either.
