World Cup Round 1 - Goal of the Round?
 

So, carrying this on, I thought it would be good to have a goal for each round (round one, two, three, round of sixteen, quarters, semis, final) then we can have a goal of the tournament at the end.

So I've taken all the winners from the "goal of the day" for each day in round one and put them in a poll so we have a goal of the round.

Two things:

• Day 3 and Day 4 had two joint winners so both will be included from each day

• As Spain - Switzerland was the last game of the round, but SA - Uruguay played on the same day, the SA - Uruguay goals will be carried forward to the second round and Beausejour's goal will be counted as the winner for that day from the first round.

And that's all..

Tough one.. was a toss up between Tshabalala and Podolski but Podolski just edged it for me.

Only player to really keep it low and powerful.

Schwarzer got a full palm and it still flew powerfully into the net..

Tshabalala from that lot. I think Klose's second against Austrailia was the best though.
