I pretty much hate them, they have a few decent songs at best but most of the time they are repetitive and dull. Most of their songs are completely interchangeable.

i think their giving a bad rap
i taught they were great live and their 2nd and 4th record were great
well each to their own

Since when did the difference between a mediocre pop band that churns out schlagermusik at ten a penny and 'musical geniuses' become so tenuous?

and you hate the Killers and anyone that doesn't wallow in self-indulgent poetry and minimal musical prowess.

they make good melody, lyrics...there's nothing to hate :\

I don't know really. When they come out with a really great tune, it really is great. But SO many of their songs are, as already said, interchangeable, they rarely branch out of thier comfort zone. They're talented they're just a bit depressing.

They're a brilliant band - I prefer their older stuff to the Viva La Vida/Death And All His Friends era but they're still great. Chris Martin is a genius, imo.

I love Coldplay.. One of the best, most consistent band around!
