No he didn't he had no intention of telling JJ anything,he just lost it a bit when JJ was nagging him over the meal,it's easily done.

DrunkerThanMoses 21-06-2010 10:37 PM

He was in the wrong, but I think we can agree that Lord Chubby came of worst here, what a vile woman she is.

so in real life if someone had said that about your friend, you wouldn't go back and tell them what was said?

Govan's being normal. doing what most people would do. cus i know i would.

Ben and John caused it, not Govan.

he can't be blamed for everything!

headaball 21-06-2010 10:56 PM

He was in the wrong yet still came out of it looking better than Shabby, says a lot about her.

So also in real life if someone rubbed their hands and was happy because your friend had got into an awful row you would tell them too surely? Just as Ben did with JJ. No big deal but of course Scabby had to have a dramatic scene over it to ensure that she gets airtime.

I genuinely don't think he purposely sh!t stirred.. I think he sees Shabby exactly for what she is and felt the need to mention it.
I think he's great, but I just wish he had a bit more backbone and would get on his feet and tell Shabby exactly what he thinks of her..
I felt heart sorry for him tonight, he just looked so bewildered by it all.

I think he's a bore and a snake. Comes across as reasonable but he's cleverly putting the boot in when he can.

Abluebird 21-06-2010 11:09 PM

I cant work out if Ben delibratly means to stir or just runs away with his own conversations, he seems so insecure, and too paranoid about who likes him and who dont, he reminds me of 'nasty nick' ha ha, but not meaning to be nasty. trying to work out the voting business.

But she wasn't glad though, she really likes Josie and JJ.
Ben threw her under the bus and made up a load of bullshine to get JJ off of his back because Ben was being a greedy bastard at the dinner table and JJ didn't appreciate it and thought he was disrespectful so was having a go at him.

It played out right infront of you on the tv.
I honestly wonder sometimes what people are watching.

no... because rubbing your hands doesn't neccessarily [sp] mean anything.

Err he did more than that.
He made up a load of bullshine about Shabby because JJ was having a go at him. He couldn't handle it so to change the subject he threw Shabby under the bus.

He's a weasel :nono:

bansheewails 21-06-2010 11:20 PM

Come on the whole thing was hilarious. and then both sets of friends getting involved, I was in stitches. Its like a male to female mirror Ben/Shabby, Mario/caoimhe and then Ife/Dave hanging on the side lines. So so funny! All thinking they are right.

ScabbyMoreLike 21-06-2010 11:23 PM

I hate the phrase 'throw under the bus'.

What BS did he make up?
(you have to understand, my child hit my LCD screen with a golf club so I am watching half a screen, so I may actually miss some stuff) :D

Me too as most of them were eating before JJ even sat down,as he said "have we started"so why did he pick Ben out on it? simple he knew nominations were looming.

He said that Shabby was pleased that JJ and Josie were arguing.

Totally made up. Even his good friend Dave said he was in the wrong.

He was just trying to change the subject from himself and on to someone else.
