Hayfever

Is anyone getting this way worst than usual this year? Stupid pollen.

lol 25-06-2010 01:17 PM

I don't have hayfever, but I've noticed recently a lot of my friends or people I know have been complaining about their hayfever getting worse.

But once the pollen levels decrease, it should get better hopefully.

Strangely enough - mine hasn't been so bad this year! I usually get it in June - but hardly had anything - unless it is going to start later this year!

pinkmichk 25-06-2010 01:36 PM

mine is always bad so yeah i'm suffering i've got various triggers so mine can run apr to sept

Tom4784 25-06-2010 02:10 PM

Mine was awful a few days back, pain everywhere but now I've just got an itchy throat. I'm hoping that's the worst it's gonna get this year.

Boothy 25-06-2010 02:20 PM

Mine's awful this year too. It's worst in the mornings I find. I hate sitting there snivelling on the bus to college :(

Harry! 25-06-2010 02:25 PM

Yes mine is bad this week for about 2 weeks. God I hate it so uch, I spend more time using tissues then anything else at the moment.

osbaldwick 25-06-2010 06:41 PM

Its pretty bad at the moment and the pollen count is set to be high over the weekend

Kerry 25-06-2010 07:25 PM

I'm not so bad right now but a couple of weeks ago was. The thing that bugs me the most is it makes me feel sleepy, which I know sounds weird but it does. Might be as I'm constantly rubbing my eyes and just want to nod off for relief!

Howcome like everyone has hayfever? D:

Thought it was only few people that got it.

Allergies seem to be on the increase with the more and more detergents people use these days. People don't have natural immunities anymore :( One reason I can't stand doctors giving out antibiotics willynilly

Lewis. 25-06-2010 07:37 PM

I get it really bad. Mine's turned into a chest infection :(

sooty 26-06-2010 09:05 PM

I was all right for past ten years or so but this year I keep sneezing, my eyes are itchy and use tissues all the time.

Jessica. 26-06-2010 09:07 PM

I'm suffering so much! :( Stupid hayfever makes me feel so unwell.

Braden 26-06-2010 09:17 PM

I've had it bad, and I haven't had hayfever since I was like two years old :|

zotler. 28-06-2010 02:45 PM

Yeah, I get hayfever pretty bad and it's been horrible so far. My eyes are all swollen.

Barbie 28-06-2010 02:50 PM

Mines been as bad as usual, same as last year and the year before :(

Its horrible.

BB_Eye 28-06-2010 03:18 PM

We're having pretty much the best weather for summer since 2006 so unsurprisingly, my hayfever has been the worst I can remember since then. I take two prescription antihistamines per day and it helps, but it's no miracle worker.

I am thinking about taking hayfever immunotherapy next spring as my hayfever is so severe in June, it prevents me from functioning.

pinkmichk 28-06-2010 03:23 PM

yesterday was horrid i sneezed so much i hurt my ribs and my head felt like it was gonna explode hardly slept last night cos of it bit better today but its proper taking it out of me
i found the tesco liquid medicine is pretty good cos you can take it every 4-6 hours compared to others that are once a day

Kate.. 02-07-2010 03:30 PM

Mine is ssoooooo awful! I go to bed with like vaseline my noise mint tea the whole lot hahaha i look very sorry for myself.

You could try getting some or all of the following essential oils from a local pharmacy Eucalyptus, rose, lavender, melissa, camomile, pine and tea tree.

Use two drops from any three in an oil burner overnight to give a restful night's sleep. When one particular mix starts losing its effectiveness, try a different mix.

I am not saying it will cure you of you hayfever, but a friend of mine now doesnt use any anti histamine tablets to control her hayfever, just a mix of oils - she also carries a similar mix applied to a cotton wool ball in a resealable bag during the day and sniffs at that if she starts getting any symptoms of her hayfever.
