Dave christian or sleazy conman

Is Dave a genuine christian or a con artist who thinks that the christian voters will unite to keep him in the house. I think he is closer to being a cult leader than a christian

Peter Plunker 26-06-2010 11:14 PM

I know him. You're wrong.

Maia 26-06-2010 11:15 PM

He'd have more chance of being kept in if he wasn't a Christian due to all the Anti-Christian voters out there (and trust me, there's loads of them.)

BB_Eye 26-06-2010 11:16 PM

I think he genuinely believes what he does, he's just so damn cheesy about it. Not unlike Mr. Baldwin.

jjj2 26-06-2010 11:43 PM

he claimed to the other housemates a few nights ago that he had healed people who were seriously ill. the last thing people need when they are very ill is to be taken advantage of and given false hope

flamingGalah! 26-06-2010 11:44 PM

Methinks Dave's brain has been haggered from all those drugs he used to do...

And exactly what do base that wild assumption on - evidence dear, evidence!

bansheewails 26-06-2010 11:46 PM

I think David just swapped one addiction for another. Getting 'high' on jesus is hardly part of the 12 step programme.

That is pretty common - and may well be true in Dave's case - but I believe he believes!

billy123 26-06-2010 11:51 PM

theres nothing wrong with what he does all he does is follow christianity in a way in which he sees fit in a way that is more appealing to some people christianity has thousands of different groups who have slightly different ways of following the religion.

He probably does, but I think I am allergic to Happy Clappy Chappies  , had enough at school (catholic nun's!) so like being able to switch over when he starts the Jesus saves bit. Could never find the nun;s off button!

Maybe the sick should gather outside the Big Brother house to be cured by Dave instead of going to hospital

Nietszche often discussed how religion is similar to the highs you get from alcohol and drugs. Addicts and worshippers are very alike in that they are depressives using their habits to forget about everything in the real world that makes them unhappy. It's not a view I agree with entirely, but it's interesting.

I know that the 12 step programme encourages some form of religion, but I don't think it encourages it to that extent. I know myself, when I do occasionally try to stop smoking I replace that addiction with another, usually food, sadly. I have a feeling Dave did the same.

Peter Plunker 27-06-2010 12:06 AM

Drugs are just a counterfeit source of joy.

Robertocarlo 27-06-2010 12:28 AM

I'm Pagan and really don't give a ***** what Christians think any more. I just hate it when they pontificate against the rest of us about sexuality etc. My sexuality is my business and I frankly don't give a stuff what Dave and other Christians think about it.

Dave christian or sleazy conman

Same thing surely?

Yes we know you know him you've said it before. But as a viewer I find him to be a big fat faker. Sorry but I do. His gloating voice when he was going on about being drunk on the lords whatever was awful and then he did it again when gloating about being kept in the house. Hes awful!

Don't much like Dave but he is entitled to his religious convictions and just because some FMs do not share his beliefs does not make him a con artist.

Dave doesn't gloat - you see that because you want to! He is just enjoying his time in there and having a laugh! You take him way too seriously! There are, however, many arrogant sods that do gloat - no doubt you like them!

There are many anti-religious voters rather than anti-christian voters mainly because most of them are full of bull! The catholic church with its many priest that have got away with the systematic abuse of children and others that have allowed it to continue by moving them on to start it up somewhere else.

They condemn what they choose to condemn. they are usually the worse people when it comes to being tolerant need i go on. They only have themselves to blame that there is a climate of mistrust towards them.

I'd love to get some of the sickest people and line them up for David the healer to heal lets see whether he can do it as he says. He was on about healing someone with throat cancer he saw the lump quivering under his touch and the man was healed.

Why would some druggy, alcoholic abuser suddenly be able to heal someone when he has abused his own body. Sorry for not being a believer I would never believe him until I handpicked really sick people and he actually healed them.

You're allergic to happy clappy people and yet you like Corin. I'd say Corin is more fake.
