Ife.. Gloria.. what's the deal with that?
 

Is Ife not her real name? Not sure if there's been a thread on this, but I found it really weird when I was looking at the 81 shortlist and saw her under the name Gloria! :shocked:

Yea, I noticed that too. I was talking about that the other day when JJ was telling Sunshine that being called Sunshine was stupid, lol. Ife just sat there saying that sometimes she'll call herself Ifay, lol.

Actually, do any of the other housemates know that she's not really called Ife?

Half the HMs do nicknames to boost their remote chance at fame (Shabby), the other half do it so they can get a legit job with their birth name later (Sunshine). I'm guessing Ife's the latter.

A lot of them aren't calling themselves by their real name. You can call yourself anything you like as long as you don't intend to defraud anyone. I mean, my real name's not Livia...

She's Nigerian descent so Im guessing it originates from there.

Seeing as you had such a hissy fit in the other thread, i'll post my opinion in here. I think her white parents may have changed her name to Gloria but then when Ife met her real mum she just went by Ife again.

Yes. This makes sense.

Maybe everyone in the house just has 2 personalities (Mario did say he had a secret) and Gloria is Ife's, seahorse is Nathan's, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert is John James's.

I didn't have a hissy fit. Just said there was already a thread on it. I agree with your comment, re her parents though - that's most likely the case!
