Stick with Capello or not?

I really do think and hope that Capello will stay:).

Harry! 27-06-2010 05:14 PM

Go. He isnt English for a start with.

Locke. 27-06-2010 05:14 PM

Give him until 2012.

So what? Giovani Trappatoni is in charge of the Republic of Ireland and he is Italian too:).

GiRTh 27-06-2010 05:16 PM

I think he will choose to resign. He's a very confident - some say arrogant - man and he will not be used to the abuse he's about to get from the press, pundits and fans. I think it'll be too much for him and he'll go.

Raph 27-06-2010 05:16 PM

Not sure tbh. What was the deal with replacing Defoe with Heskey?!!

InOne 27-06-2010 05:17 PM

We had a great team out there. Can't blame Capello for everything.

He will be equipped to deal with it, tbh Capello has done all he can and most peoples anger will be directed at the players which they deserve!.

A English person should manage the England team. If he wants to manage a team he should manage the Italian team.

wow just wow.....

thats just an insane comment.....

Scarlett. 27-06-2010 05:18 PM

Stick with him, the problem is with the team IMO

Angus 27-06-2010 05:19 PM

He strikes me as a pretty dour and humourless bloke with no empathetic qualities. I can see why a lot of the players would not take to his style of management. He is also pretty stubborn about rethinking strategy and in this tournament he got it badly wrong. I hope he does the decent thing and resigns, and we get an English manager who can motivate and inspire the team. They all need a good kicking up the backside, useless bunch of losers.

setanta 27-06-2010 05:21 PM

A managers nationality doesn't matter as long as he can do the job he is paid to at the best of his ability:).

Agreed Chewy they have a lot to think about and answer to;).

Tom4784 27-06-2010 05:23 PM

We had an english manager once, his name was McClaren...That went well...

King Gizzard 27-06-2010 05:24 PM

Harry or Roy

I lik capello but ultimately he has failed at his job, and is picking up a stupid amount of money for it

And that said..it would take LOADS of dosh for us to get rid of him

OMFG that Dutch accent he does:laugh2:.

MissKittyFantastico 27-06-2010 05:26 PM

He should go.

I'd love to see Roy Hodgson get the job but I think he's a cert for Liverpool, so maybe Harry Redknapp.

I'd actually love us to have an English manager again so I'm actually kind of in agreement with Harry on this one.

King Gizzard 27-06-2010 05:28 PM

Correct me if I'm wrong but all the big big big teams have managers from the same country right?
