caoimhe's football shirt !!!!!!

why did everyone have red but she had green???? :conf: isnt she an england supporter? i know she's irish but i dont get it cause everyone had red english shirts on but she had green

supergirthuk 28-06-2010 12:41 AM

Dave's shirt was red but it had the Wales badge on it.

Locke. 28-06-2010 12:42 AM

And she didn't sing the national anthem because she was Irish aswell, but Dave still sang it even though he is Welsh. They should have just locked the useless bitch in the house.

Zippy 28-06-2010 12:45 AM

Well she shouldnt be singing somebody elses anthem anyway.

I wouldn't!

supergirthuk 28-06-2010 12:48 AM

Its not her anthem. A few of the England players dont sing the national anthem should we lock them up or throw them in the stocks? Oh hang on I may be on to something there. :)

InOne 28-06-2010 12:49 AM

It would be like a Spanish person singing our anthem.

supergirthuk 28-06-2010 12:55 AM

I know lichtenstein has the same music for their anthem as england but do they sing the same words as we do?

Locke. 28-06-2010 12:56 AM

She was playing for England, should have sang the anthem.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

High above the young Rhine
Lies Liechtenstein, resting
On Alpine heights.
This beloved homeland,
This dear fatherland
Was chosen for us by
God's wise hand.
This beloved homeland,
This dear fatherland
Was chosen for us by
God's wise hand.

Long live Liechtenstein,
Blossoming on the young Rhine,
Happy and faithful!
Long live the Prince of the Land,
Long live our fatherland,
United by brotherly bonds and free.

United by brotherly bonds and free

Dave's shirt was an england shirt but it had a wales badge on it to represent his nationality. Dont you think BB could have afforded proper shirts for them. what a bunch of money grabbers they are. Shame on you BB.

Why, it didnt help the England team. I dont think Ashley cole sings the anthem either and over the four games he was one of the better players that turned up. Whereas John Terry sung his heart out and was at fault for all four of the German goals in my opinion (Totally out of position for all four goals and little or no attempt to get back into position). (He was probably collecting german wag's phone numbers at the time.)

Umm, deleted a few posts there.

Me telling the truth as usual.

James 28-06-2010 01:07 AM

England need a new anthem, I think. GSTQ is meant to be the UK national anthem.

Thanks for the info. You can have a gold star for that. Are you trying to fit the translation into the music? I gave up.

This often gets thrown up, about as often as we get beat by the germans (so quite regularly then), and the usual one heading the alternative anthem charts is usually Jerusalem. Im not struck on that myself. Any suggestions apart from "Always look on the bright side of life"?

Well if they sang GSTQ then it is Davids national anthem...he's British after all.

And JJ the closet case has English parents and UK passport so Im sure it wasnt a stretch. Especially as he seems to think he's Beckham.

I don't want foreigners singing our anthem anyways. Its wrong.
