John versus Josie in the snug

Josie : "I got no respect for people who ask to leave are"
JJ : "nah...some people can change their mind once they are in"
Josie : "why are you doing this John James!"
JJ : "It's like people who go for a surf know the risks of getting eaten by a shark but they still go in"
Josie "Exactly my point!...you can't hurt me!"
JJ : "Nah I mean you know the risks of swimming and you accept them but when a shark is in your face you get out don't you?"
Josie : "Why you pushin my buttons .... you keep pushin and pushin .... YOU CAN'T HURT ME!!!!"
JJ : "I'm disagreeing with you, that's all .. relax, I'm not yelling".
JOSIE : "Hey everyone!!! JJ was pushing my buttons...and going off again!!... tell him to stop!"
Caoimhe : "You got to change your attitude JJ"
JOSIE : "I've seen you, I've watched you! ... you do it to everyone"

OMFG!!!!!

lol so who's paranoid? Who brings it up in public? Who when asked to justify their paranoia says "whatever .... don't go on and on about it JJ"

Out of context editing.

Looks like crossed wires. Think Josie thinks he's specifically talking about her and his feelings for her. I think she's getting very confusing signals from him and its frustrating her like crazy.

rusticgal 03-07-2010 09:11 AM

I know I just dont get it.... he does talk a lot and he does sometimes go on too much about a disagreement...but other than that I think he is just healthily curious and inquisitive. He is totally harmless he is just open and honest and says how he feels.I dont think he is nasty just cos you express a dislike to something does not make you a nasty person FGS.
I reckon Josie sees JJ as her real competitor...the trouble is she fancies him at the same time.Thats why one minute she makes him sound like a bully and argumentative and the next she declares how much she likes him...

fruit_cake 03-07-2010 09:13 AM

i think shes scared of being hurt by him so she pretends to not be interested and always talks down to him.

Zippy 03-07-2010 09:19 AM

He's not totally harmless at all. He has anger issues and issues with women. That much is clear.

And he's judgemental, unreasonable and stubborn. Perfectly displayed with Rachael. And again last night when applauding Sunshines eviction. Very immature and bitter.

fingers 03-07-2010 09:19 AM

She simply encourages him to be a *****ing total boor with her pseudo admonishments accompanied by her devious giggle and what passes for a smile but is just hanging her oversized teeth out to dry.

Nice game plan, get him nominated and evicted and she becomes top dog!!

BB_Eye 03-07-2010 09:22 AM

I don't like either of them, but Josie knows exactly what she is doing. She likes being around JJ because the ensuing drama gets her the attention she wants and furthers her game.

NettoSuperstar! 03-07-2010 09:23 AM

I agree with Zippy I think she thought he was talking about her...crossed wires...yeh she was slightly paranoid though but so is JJ

She's always loving then hating him. It's boring me now. Why can't she make up her mind on him like?

It's just a game plan, encourage him by pretending to be enjoying his tantrums, then the others will turn against him and do her dirty work of getting him out of the house.

Maybe. Seems like every time he gives an opinion though, she always disagrees with it and has a go at him for having a different opinion to her.

Exactly, then turns it into nothing by laughing and showing her large teeth!

But she goes spreading round the rest of the housemates what she's thinking all the time about him and it's normally not good.

Rubbish. He's just messing her mind up with mixed signals. She's a bit lovesick and I don't think the game even comes into it as far as he's concerned. Last night she told Caoimhe that he was giving her signals that he's interested. But I don't think he is in that way. And I think she doubts it too. Hence her anger and frustration with him.

As well as being extremely jaundiced editing, what what this out of context snippet also dosent show is that this is the point where the straw broke the camels back.

JJ goes on and on and on and on, as we all know, and continously picks at people to get a reaction, not stopping until he does. We have seen it again and again. The effect is cumulative and Josie can now tell when he is going down that road ('becoming 'that man') and she might react before he actually gets there, but thats just a defense against his well know button pushing.

Josie just hates that part of him, as most do.

It's a shame that he is one of the few in there since the series started, aside from Govan and Shabby, that also has a real sense of humour and is actually a laugh to be around so Josie spends more time with him then she should.

This hopefully will change with new HMs though. Josie needs someone in there who is simply up for the laugh and has none of JJ's other issues.

Might be. I'm genuinely confused about her.
