oh wow ive only just seen this that would have been very interesting i just read an article that claims the strike is off due to a £130million settlement being reached although i strongly suspect the goverment would have stepped in and deemed any strike action illegal as it would have affected every internet provider i would have thought as much of the hardware is stored in british telecom exchanges and that in turn would effect emergency services/hospitals not to mention the massive cost to businesses and the stock exchange.

BT Internet is a pile of s*** anyway. I wouldn't use it for free.

BT was on Strike today.

The London Union Rep on NewsnightHD BBC2
said their strike is the first for 35 years
He think's the Public back their strike ?

I used this old thread
that tells you it took 12 years to get this far on
a strike.

Luckily I am not with BT anymore. A horrible, deceitful, money-grabbing company in my view.

Least most people will have the data on their phones.

the contract i have with BT, they must pay me money if i lose service so i don't think it will happen.

arista 01-09-2022 10:22 AM

They are only doing day strikes
so the internet on BT should be fine

When I made this threads 12 years or so ago
It was a Big News Item, loss of Internet,

But now in 2022 it is not.
