A Star from the latest series of reality TV show Big Brother helped to wake people up in Bath yesterday. Eugene Sully was greeting people in Bath when he visited the city for an early morning broadcast on Bath FM.

The 28-year-old from Crawley joined breakfast show presenter Karl Bennett before heading off to The Podium to meet local residents.

The engineer, who came second in Big Brother six and walked away with £50,000, said he was enjoying the Bath experience.

He arrived on Sunday to take in some sights and do some Christmas shopping, before meeting up with staff from Bath FM.

"I spent yesterday afternoon and evening having a look around," he said. I'm having a great time."

Despite walking away with half the Big Brother winnings, Eugene admitted that on reflection he thought he should have won the show.

The former contestant, whose passions include electronics and throwing TVs off cliffs to record the sound they make, also said he knew his celebrity status would not last.

But he added that he would like to find himself presenting a science show in the future.

"Us techie types are normally so interested in how things work that we don't like to communicate about them. But I enjoy that aspect as well," he said.

"I think I'm more likely to do something like that than present CD:UK."
