Linford Christie's niece faces arrest for snubbing a court.
Former Miss England and heptathlete Rachel Christie, 21, was convicted
in her absence of failing to provide a breath specimen.
A warrant for her arrest was issued after she did not show at Westminister
Magistrates' Court.
Christie, who lost her beauty crown over a fight with Miss Manchester, failed
13 times to blow into the machine after she was arrested on suspision of drink
-driving.
The one test she did provide showed Christie, of Kensington, West London, who was driving her Gladiator boyfriend David McIntosh, was over the limit.
But without a second test at the police station, Police could not charge the
Olympic hopeful with the offence.
Pc Joe Anthony said " Each time there was a different reason for failure - not blowing for long enough, not blowing hard enough - and each time the procedure was clearly explained to her. I don't believe she was doing her best to provide a sample." :xyxwave:
