BB12 Ratings Thread - BB has largest audience since April 2008
 

The 12th season premiere of CBS’ Big Brother returned up 5% in the adults 18-49 vs. last summer’s premiere to lead CBS to the ratings win on Thursday night.

The battle of summer reality is now fully joined, and Big Brother’s 2.4 adults 18-49 rating, up 5% from last summer’s premiere, shows that it’s ready to jump into the fight.

I was fearing that it wasn't going to fare well as it was going up against another endemol show Wipeout but woot this season will gather the masses

Thats a great ratings. And if I remember correctly last years premiere was up in he ratings so the show is going from strength to strength.

CBS’ Big Brother’s 2.3 adults 18-49 rating was the best for any show on Sunday night. Big Brother ratings were up 15% compared to its Sunday start last summer (2.0 final rating, 7/12/09).

Only natural to dip a bit after the premiere. Plus Thursday nights usually have higher ratings than Sunday nights anyway

BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY (P) was first in adults 25-54 (2.7/09), adults 18-49 (2.3/08) and second in viewers (6.31m) and adults 18-34 (1.8/08). Compared to the corresponding BIG BROTHER 11 broadcast last year (BIG BROTHER 11 TUESDAY (P) on July 14, 2009, at 9:00 PM), CBS was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/07), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/06), +6% in adults 18-34 (from 1.7/06) and added +130,000 viewers (from 6.18m, +2%).

All three premieres of this summer’s BIG BROTHER have posted year-to-year increases.

CBS’s Big Brother was the night’s top show with the youthful 18-49 crowd. CBS also had the most viewing for the night.

Summer doldrums remained the theme at the broadcast networks with the unscripted reality leaders all down from last week.

America’s Got Talent was down 16% with adults 18-49 from last week to a 2.6 rating, it’s lowest of the summer (though it was still the night’s highest-rated and most-watched show).

So You Think You Can Dance was down 9% to a 2.1 rating with adults 18-49 between 8p-10p.

Big Brother was down, but less than the others, only 4% to a 2.2 rating with adults 18-49.
