This forum - its changed.

Ive been a member on here for a few years now, and I enjoy reading the debates, even if I dont post.

Recently, though, the forum has changed for the worse. A lot of the old members have left and given up posting.

The forum has been taken over by quite a few inarticulate kids who cant spell. (see guttridge)

Why is this?

Arneldo 27-12-2005 07:08 PM

I dont think i can say its changed for the worse!
Because im probley one of the "inarticulate kids who cant spell".

Z 27-12-2005 07:10 PM

Guttridge is gone firstly, secondly BB has taken over the UK with all the popularity, internet use is more widely used, and people are more likely to find out about TiBB. Certainly I'd fall under the category of new and kid, but inarticulate? Well, whatever. The internet is a young person's domain, you certainly don't see very many people born before the 70s being computer adept (generalising here).

cc100 27-12-2005 07:10 PM

Doesent eveything change?

It has changed over the years 4 or so years Ive been on here.

miss little glitzee 27-12-2005 07:15 PM

Im only 15 myself.

I just feel it was better a few years back.

I didt mean to offend anyone by my words.

We all know of the rather strange members amongst us!

BigSister 27-12-2005 07:17 PM

I do feel that it has changed but as CC100 said doesnt everything. Members come and go and some stay

Z 27-12-2005 07:19 PM

A lot of forums go through periods of members, mostly they have a few good original members, and in turn, more members arrive, a couple of excellent, some good, a lot of non-users, and the occasional bad one. I find this happens on the "other" forum I frequent.

Dan_ 27-12-2005 07:21 PM

I agree that we have had a few moron's like Guttridge but they generally get banned and thing's seem good around here again, there are always going to be a few people who are silly but most people on here seem pretty cool. The forum has become more popular and with that you get a few problems.

I've only been here since bb5 started and there have been changes and a few months ago a few people complained about some of the silly posters and since then things have been on the up with only a few incidents. I can't compare it to what it was when perhaps you first joined but I think overall it's a really good forum with a good community.

Z 27-12-2005 07:23 PM

I agree with Dan, and certainly when you look at the nominations for Corkie's contest, it's mostly new members that are receiving them. Certainly the original members of 2002 that haven't returned, well, can't say much for them..

Mike 27-12-2005 07:27 PM

Its no suprise things have changed around here, they cant stay the same for ever.

Overall i think its a great forum.

Okay,..must be a Scottish thing

Z 27-12-2005 08:34 PM

What's that meant to mean?

Little guy suggests you're calling her a guy.

SMC 27-12-2005 08:37 PM

Corkie 27-12-2005 08:38 PM
