Girls Can't Catch are dropped & split

It’s time to don your black hats and get your tissues at the ready - we have sad news for the readers of teentoday.co.uk.
It’s not as if we didn’t see it coming from a mile off, but earlier today we received official confirmation that the musical nonentities legends Girls Can’t Catch have been dropped by Fascination. Which is no mean feat, considering that they also have Sophie Ellis-Bextor on their books, and that woman hasn’t really had a hit single since 2002.
The world’s most tolerant record label confirmed the news in an unceremonious email that read: “GCC unfortunately are no longer signed to us.”
However, it’s not all bad news for the girls as the pop world’s version of Battersea Dog’s Home - Popjustice - have announced they are to start a record label, Popjustice Hi Fi, and we are sure Peter Robinson could put a roof over their heads. Or maybe not.
I'm absolutely gutted.
They were really fantastic, and only released two singles - Echo & Keep Your Head Up.
IMO, they vocally triumphed all other girlbands around atm, proven in their cover of Red.
Let down by a stupid name :(
They won't be picked up by another label either because Daizy said on twitter she wants to move onto other projects & Phoebe's changed her twitter name to remove the 'GCC' after it.
I hope Phoebe goes solo 'cos she's my fave & has an amazing voice (you might remember her from X-Factor 4's girlband 'Hope').

Their album samplers leaked recently, so at least we have a mini album of 7 songs, plus 2 b-sides, & 3 acoustics. They had so much potential.
I know none of you will care and this thread will be full of jokes but I'm actually really gutted & wanted to rant.

Is Phoebe the one in the middle?

Aw I liked them :( I was hoping they would manage to do well. Guess not. :(

I really hope Phoebe makes it in the music industry, but not many people get second chances - which she was privileged enough to get; good luck to the three of them, I liked Keep Your Head Up!

Yeah.

Surprised by how positive this thread is :)
I would love Phoebe to be successful solo, I totally agree with Zee!

I wish them all luck, individually or as a future group. :)
