Battle of the Positives
 

While Corin, Ife and Mario all claim to be 'positive' people, but they mean quite different things.

Mario is perceptive, and realistic: he sees people and situations warts 'n all. Mario is positive because when he sees something he doesn't like, he doesn't have a strong and unhelpful negative reaction. He also doesn't seem like the kind of person who would hold a grudge.

He hasn't had much conflict with the other housemates so far. But it's clear from his early defenses of Ben that he's not afraid of arguments either. He's just an easy going guy who realizes that life is absurd , and so doesn't things it too seriously. He has a lot to teach Andrew about the art of living, and I look forward to seeing their friendship develop.

Ife seems to be quite emotional, but she's positive because she deals with conflict in a mature and logical way while still holding her own. This was evident when she 'punked out' Shabby and Caiomhe for bitching about her during the wheelchair basketball party. And while she's competitive and likes everything in its right place, she's not domineering. She also has a strongly held belief in fair-play. Ife is a strong and virtuous housemate who hasn't yet blossomed. If she survives this week then expect a more confident and strident Ife... and a very very p****d off Caoimhe.

Corin is very energetic, and seemed at first to be constantly happy. Happy + energetic = bubbly. Being bubbly can raise everyone's energy, which is often positive. But while that's great at a party, when people are upset it's natural and healthy for their energy to become a little depressed. Being relentlessly upbeat around people who are down is insensitive. And it can get irritating, particularly if it seems like the happiness isn't always genuine. And while she seemed constantly happy at first, her negative side is brusque and dismissive.

Fair play to the girl for her efforts developing a distinctive catchphrase. But I want to shoot her every time she say's she's buzzing. John James was absolutely right. The highlights show can never convey in a mere 40 minutes just how many times she says this every day. Her voice was cute at first but now makes me want mute the TV. There isn't much too her besides here energy, and she doesn’t have any interesting social relationships. She's got my vote this week.

To be honest Freddy, I don't really like the way you make posts here just to promote your website and music and don't really get involved beyond that. I mean, it's not for me to say stop posting or anything at all, and I do understand you need to make a living and have a career to promote, but I do think it's beneath you :(

Hmm...have to disagree with you about Mario and Ife...Mario may be a realist, but I dont feel he's realist about himself...he can be bitchy and petulant, and falls out with people over the small stuff, Ben and the apple being a prime example.

As for Ife....to be frank she does my nut. Her constant analysing of every given situation, and her need for affirmation do not endear her to me, they turn me off. While it's mostly healthy to be able to go over a given situation and work out the whys and wherefores, it is NOT healthy, or entertaining (for the viewers) to be subjecvted to the psychobabble day after day...she needs to lighten up, have a little fun, throw caution to the wind...and that's why she will always get my vote over Coirin, because as annoying as Coirin can be, she sees BB for what it is, she tries her hardest to drain every moment of enjoyment out of every day, and for me is truly a positive person.

Yeah Ife to me is not a positive person, she is always saying she is but all she does is whinge about others not being which in turn makes her negative

I agree Ife is annoying.. Corin can be very irritating at times with the voice, buzzing, loving it and OMG, then Mario can be very tedious and he definetly is trying to be everyones friend to stay in the game longer;).

Why don't you do people the courtesy of allowing them to post what they want? Since when did you become the Tibb monitor?

I will have to disagree Mr Freddie Fisher. Corin is bubbly, upbeat and entertaining. She is the most entertaining out of the 3 up!!
She needs to stay as well as Mario!!

Ife has GOT TO GO without a shadow of doubt. She is positive and that.. but it seems she analyses the same things all the time. It seems like she is.. just there.

If Corin stays JJ will be pissed off!! lol

Please be aware that corin is not a swan, therefore you wouldn't enjoy shooting her.

Corin IS the most positive out of the 3. I also respected her more for sticking up to JJ.

Lol I like it when Freddie pops up randomly with a paragraph about his views on BB. However.. I wish he posted like everyday.. posted a paragraph a day on the forum. He is promoting his music as well.. but there is nothing wrong with that!!

The thing I don't like about Mario is he thinks he is more deserving than most to be in the house because he had to do a task in the first week, and he gets slightly sarcastic if he thinks you're not listening to him.

Don't know what to make of Ife, but I like Corin, I'm sure if she was critical of him he wouldn't like it one bit and would tell her and it's not his place to make comments about her just because he doesn't like one aspect.

Besides, if the show was on the other foot jj would soon tell her where to go.

*off topic (sorry mods). I always liked Bea, she wasn't always adorable, but who is?. I started folling her on Twitter yesterday out of curiosity. :)

For me, Ife's too disposable to not get rid of. Mario isn't hugely active but he provides a supporting role and has a lot more relationships and ties in that house while Corin been a lot more active then both.
