Book recommendation thread

Use this thread to recommend any good books you have read recently. I'm going to recommend "The lovely bones"

http://img1.fantasticfiction.co.uk/i...n12/n60758.jpg

I watched the film and really wanted to read the book. It's basically a story about a little girl who is raped and murdered by a man in her neighbourhood. The book tells the story of what happens to the man and the little girls trip to heaven. It's a really touching book and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who has seen, and enjoyed, the film or likes a book that really gets you thinking. If your aim is to read a few good books over summer, I would definitely advise you to take a look at this one as it is quite a special book.

Recommend as many as you like!

I'm not a regular reading person, but I like quite complicated storylines with lots of characters and backstories and shizz. Any recommendations?

Yes, I love Dan Brown too - my favourite one of his is The Digital Fortress.

The Strain by Guiillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan is a good read..it's about
vamires rampant in NYC.

The opening chapter is gripping:
A flight from Berlin lands as normal at JFK in New York and then suddenly all the lights go out and radio silence descends. When rescue crew finally force their way on board, all passengers and crew appear to be dead.
The story is a cross between Dracula and 28 days later.
