Walking from the Big Brother house isn't a crime.

It makes me annoyed when people moan that someone has left the house and make up stupid excuses for the housemate leaving and start hate clubs about the housemate. In the Big Brother house things are very different compared to the outside world. There is no-where to go when you're annoyed with someone and the privacy rate is nil. People don't seem to understand that living 24/7 in a house with the same people can probably be quite a depressing thing when you're feeling low. My point is that no-one knows what it is like to be in the Big Brother house and nobody could know unless they had actually experienced it, so to be judgemental towards someone for leaving isn't always the most intelligent thing to do. Caoimhe and Shabby both probably had other reasons for leaving the house other than the ones that they shared with Big Brother. I expect living in the Big Brother house puts huge psychological strain on the housemates and sometimes people just crack. I agree that they have wasted the opportunity for someone else, but I don't blame the housemates at all, It's something that they do not quite realise before they are in the house and probably wish they did. This applies throughout every series, not just this one.

This isn't the first series of BB. They pretty much know what they're letting themselves in for and practically jump through flaming hoops to get in there. In the process, other people are left out. It's really annoying when someone has been given the opportunity to be a housemate and then they leave. I think that if someone leaves the house, they should be packed into a minicab and sent home and we should never be bothered by them again.

I know what you mean but I think it's one of those things where if you haven't actually been through it, you know nothing about how you'd feel. Take a rollercoaster for example. You might be really quite scared of going on it, but until you've done it, you don't know how it actually feels, especially if you've never been on one before. You have no previous experience of a rollercoaster so being scared of it is just fearing the fear and you can only really say that it's scary if you;ve actually been on it. Do you get what I mean?

Yeah, I get you. And no, obviously we don't really know what it's like, but I do feel sorry for the people who didn't get in when someone walks. When Shabby went I thought it was so wrong that she was treated to an enormous amount of TV exposure.

No, but she knew how to get the nice housemates out.

Stacey. 20-07-2010 04:44 PM

Agreed. It's their decision to walk, and there's obviously a good enough reason for them walking, I don't mind housemates doing it other than I'm gutted when they go cus I want to watch them in the house for longer. I don't get why people 'respect them less' or anything though. If they're unhappy in there then it's better for them to leave, or they'll be doing themselves no favours or the other housemates.

Yeah that's the only bad thing really. But there's not much we can do about that. And I agree with your point about TV exposure. They shouldn't get loads of airtime and TV around them.. If they've left then they should leave it altogether.

StGeorge 20-07-2010 04:48 PM

People who think they are popular never walk....only those that get a whiff of the hate they may face on eviction night.

Shabby and Caoimhe both admitted this and have used the backdoor instead of facing the public. Its a cowards way and it should not be rewarded with further platforms.

Braden 20-07-2010 04:49 PM

But Caoimhe has played about with the idea for ages, I actully grew to like her and the show would of benefited from her staying :|

Er, she only got Nathan out and that was via a thrown task. And he wasn't nice either.

This.

Not forgetting the fans of these walkouts, who have spent time and money, by voting who they were up against in favour of keeping them in the show.

Now that's disappointing.

starry 20-07-2010 05:29 PM

People vote to keep them in and then they just walk lol. Really I think they don't have much respect for their fans. Also people who go on and on about leaving and even to try to use it as a tactic during an eviction week annoy me.

Mystrios 20-07-2010 06:35 PM

Its only a crime when BB puts an eviction on the same week, with Popular Contestants

If Corin Goes BB has let me down BIG time
