Im worried about my head injury!

3 days ago I went to a BBQ and was hit by a football in the right side of my skull, I have been hit my footballs many times but this time my vision went blurry, lost sight in one eye but then went to normal. Ever since that moment I have had ongoing dizziness and headaches that just won't go away. I went to the doctors he looked into my eyes and said It was just a blow to the head and is no serious, (went to see him the day after), now 2 days after seeing the doctor I'm getting more worried. I have taken paracetamol and ibuprofen and nothing has helped. I wake up feeling fine and then after 10 mins awake, my headaches begin. My Dad thinks I'm being "dramatic" but i'm worried.

Im scared its a internal bleeding or something serious.
Doctor said it was a mild concussion injury.

The doctor's diagnosis is probably correct - the pain should subside after about 72 hours from the initial injury. If your headaches are worsening after this time, then return to your doctor for a follow up or go to your local hospital's casualty department if you're really worried as they will be able to do an x-ray.

Yeah just sounds like mild concussion Salv tbh, but if you're really worried then take yourself up to A&E.

You're really meant to rest as much as possible with a concussion though, might be worth just going make to see your doctor again and explaining about the headaches. Hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear that.

If it's really worrying I would go to A&E.Especially if you start to feel nauseated.

I don't have any medical experience but have a friend who was brushed off by the doc after receiving a blow to his head..eventually doc sent him to hospital..he had surgery the next morning.he is fine now ..no probs at all.

Your doc is probably right but if you do not feel right take yourself to A&E.

****, sorry to hear about that!

Maybe you should check up with the Doctor again, hope you get better.

i agree your doc sounds right even mild concussion effects can last a few days but if your concerned go to a&e to be checked out

I wouldn't worry about it unless you're in AGONY, start throwing up or passing out. It just sounds like a bit of a concussion that should be gone in no time... just let it run its course and you'll be dandy!
