If Steve wins will it affect his benefits?

He hasn't worked for 20 years :spin:, should we call in the Fairy Jobmother??

janaddy86 25-07-2010 06:12 PM

What benefits is he claiming?

Harry! 25-07-2010 06:13 PM

He would effectivly have a £100,000 income so it might affect any benifets he gets.

Note that is what I would expect someone on benifets not Steve himself.

InOne 25-07-2010 06:13 PM

He isn't on benefits...

Go away - this has been done before! He doesn't get benefits - do you know anything - he gets a much deserved army pension! What benefits do you get then?

Steve receives an army pension - not state benefits!

Someone on here was saying so a while back - and seemed pretty sure of their facts - but it makes sense - he would, of course, receive a pension for injuries received whilst doing his job in Ireland!

My nephew said he will but hes not sure how much

Jackie 25-07-2010 07:52 PM

Yes if hes on benefits he will have too much capital to make a claim if he wins.

Well, he won't win so this is a bit of a pointless (and intrusive) speculation.

I don't get any benefits, nosey parker.

And yes, I read that he got benefits on either this forum or DS.

HE GETS A MILITARY PENSION. It's not the same as benefits. Try to absorb that fact. How come YOUR benefits aren't anyone's business but you're fascinated by whether Steve gets them?

If you care to read what I've said, I don't get benefits (if that's any interest to you). I work for a living and have savings.

I read that his military pension is not a lot and with a litter of eight kids I don't doubt he get's benefits. Therefore winning the 100k might affect those payments.

I'm not particularly fascinated by Steve's financial situation, but the difference between me and Steve is - he is in the public eye and I am not.

I did read what you said, and I didn't care for it, to be frank. Anyway, in response...

Firstly, I couldn't give a monkey's what you get. You're the one who called someone "nosey parker" for asking.

Secondly, what you know about the military and military pensions I could obviously write on the head of a pin. What's more, maybe his wife works, ever thought of that? Incidentally, it's HIGHLY derogatory to refer to someone's family as a "litter".

Lastly, Because Steve is in the BB house and has no legs, it seems to be a source of endless fascination for the shallow to dig into his financial affairs. You are not the DSS. Entry into the BB house is not means-tested.

Should he send all that money to Shabby?

fuzzylovin 26-07-2010 09:17 AM

He would be on any army pension for life id think because of his accident.

WAY2GO2 01-08-2010 12:35 PM

I don't think that winnings from competitions / shows etc. affects benefits, but I could be wrong.
