Throwing the Tasks

Does anybody else find it annoying when the housemates consider throwing the save + replace task?

I know they want to test their position against the public, but the aim of the show is to stay in the house as long as you can, so you should give 100% in these tasks inparticular, otherwise it seems like they wanna seem like do-gooders letting another win when you know they really want to stay. They dont treat nominations like that, and also tasks are good-viewing, we want to seem them do their best at it!

John James, Dave and Steve have all brought up the fact they may lose this week's save + replace task on purpose..

Braden 27-07-2010 02:19 PM

Whoever throws a task first wins and then has to put up a replacement.

I think some of them do it just because they dont like having to replace themselves if they win so would rather just face the eviction.

sosadbbend 27-07-2010 02:20 PM

I think they should be threatened with a punishment if they state they are going to throw the task.

Again, I think they all know somebody they'd replace theirselves with - just want to appear good.

I don't mind it really. I'd want to test to see how popular I was if I was in there too tbh.

MissKittyFantastico 27-07-2010 02:38 PM

I think it's bull**** and BB should punish the whole house every time someone does it, they'd soon think twice about it then!

Beso 27-07-2010 02:38 PM

John james is the worst for throwing tasks, he doesn't even try and hide the fact he's throwing it, I mean come on, who in their right minds would pick jj for a catching compitition!

smudgie 27-07-2010 02:43 PM

Mario has told Ben that Dave is throwing the tsask as are the rest of them, so Ben has said he will too. One of them won't at least.Andrew and Laura are telling Ben to go for it. Andrew knows for a fact that JJ will more than likely choose him.:joker: The plot thickens.

joeysteele 27-07-2010 02:45 PM

These save and replace task are not only unnecessary but they have been some of the stupidest ever tasks on any BB, and after last weeks farce with the badly set up and badly thought out task that NONE of the 3 women even looked remotely like winning, ending in the injury for Keeley, BB should have scrapped this stupid idea once and for all just as they did the 'good day or bad day for a housemate' thing from the evicted housemate that week. That soon stopped.

fingers 27-07-2010 03:00 PM

BB has heard all the discussions about throwing the tasks, a fitting punishment would be to announce that there will now be a triple eviction.

Livia 27-07-2010 03:02 PM

I don't think anyone intends to throw anything. It's just a face-saving exercise to claim they threw it when they actually just plain-old lost.

Patrick 27-07-2010 03:02 PM

John wants to try to save Josie.

Would be poetic justice then, for a punishment to ensue.

Fingers, you sound positively Shakespearean today. I like it.

Angus 27-07-2010 03:20 PM

If they all throw the task then the whole house should be put up. BB should announce this before the task starts.

smudgie 27-07-2010 03:29 PM

Dave and Mole are obviously throwing the task, BB should announce that Mario is up for eviction as well due to throwing it:devil:. Oh how lovely that would be.
I reckon Dave thinks the public will view him kindly for throwing the task, it could well backfire on him:devil:

One enters this hostile environment with not a little trepidation. But one does one's best to soldier on with a stiff upper lip and quivering chin.

Course he does:rolleyes: Come on people! He would crawl over her duvet clad body to get to that £100,000:joker:

Dave was unfairly put up for eviction by the producers, so I really don't see why he should play their game. As he would look at it if he is kept in it's a slap in the face for the producers. He also has played their game a few times before anyway putting other people up.

But JJ1 says it is only Ben who does not try in tasks. And just incase anyone cannot think of a reason to nominate Ben he reminds them every week of the exercise task. Which had nothing to do with food but JJ1 never mentions that.

However his face was a picture when JJ mark 2 said, 'If I am in something I aim to win'.
