Now Jodie\'s gone...

What is there to talk about? Well, not a lot is the answer.

Yesterday's 'highlights' (Sunday) was the worst yet. Ten minutes featuring housemates sitting under cardboard boxes debating over who should come out last and Rula's pants of power (yawn). And even without controller George, the young people in there are devoid of any fun (and not because they fear the older members). BB may as well have left the boxes in the house. They've got just as much personality as Maggot and Preston.

Regardless of what you think of Jodie's behaviour at least we had something to discuss.

Sascha 16-01-2006 12:56 PM

I reckon BB should add another twist and get Jodie back in. It doesnt seem the celebs have ever watched BB before so they wont twig on its been done before with Emma and Michelle. MInd you Jodie wouldnt go back in without a big can of Mase to keep Bullymore at bay.
Anyone think that possibly Preston hasnt got a girlfriend and was just making it up to either a) make the girls more interested (well it is mens logic we're talking about) or b)keep the ones he doesnt fancy at bay (mens logic again here girls). I only wonder cos considering he has a girlfriend, he only been apart from her two weeks and he's gliding his hand across the base of Chantelle's back????Hmmm.......

It's a shame Jodie went and George is still in there. But they couldn't put Jodie back in - it would be unfair on the people who spent money voting her out.

Mike 16-01-2006 01:23 PM

I personally thought George should have been the one who went, at least with Jodie there was something to talk about and she provided some entertainment, George really doesn't do a great deal.

Ruth 16-01-2006 01:46 PM

George is horrible - and boring to boot. He shoudl have gone.

Sascha 16-01-2006 02:16 PM

George is a smug little hobbit! Even though i really do not like Barrymore he shouldnt go because he is that vile it'll make interesting viewing at least

GlitterEyes 16-01-2006 03:22 PM

I actualy think there is stuff to talk about but its not as clear cut as arguements etc

Dan_ 16-01-2006 03:31 PM

Yer I agree GE, anyway all Jodie caused people to talk about was the bullying all the time, that got old quick. At least with her out there are different thing's to talk about such as Pete wanting to leave, Preston and Chantelle and the next set of nominations.

GlitterEyes 16-01-2006 03:32 PM

I havent been around online for a few days and there are topics I want to talk about which no one has picked up on or they have and just brushed it off for one reason or another lol.

Dan_ 16-01-2006 03:43 PM

I was speaking to a mate for about half an hour today about CBB and Jodie never came up once in the conversation.

AndyJK 16-01-2006 04:04 PM

Oh right, well as long as you and your mate are enjoying BB thats ok then. Sod the rest of us.

How can Jodie have caused us to talk about herself being bullied or have any say what is shown in the highlights or what the press reports? She has no control over that. She went in there to have some fun and be herself yet was pilloried and criticised from every direction.

Ah but ever the cynic you will say she went in there to be bullied to get sympathy.

Sascha 17-01-2006 10:23 AM

Well said Andy!

You said there was nothing to talk about and I made the point that I talked for half an hour without mentioning Jodie so there is thing's to talk about.I'm so sorry for voting out someone I was irritated by, how inconsiderate of me, why didn't I just vote out someone else to make Jodie fans happy? The majority wanted to get rid of Jodie and that's just the way it is.

Whilst Jodie was in the house most of the talk was about her getting bullied which I found tedious after a while, there is only so much you can take of that.I know she has no control over it but while she was in there that is what people talked about. She may have gone in there with the intention to have fun but in reality it did not turn out like that and all we were left with was the talk about bullying. I'm not saying that she went in there to be bullied to get sympathy at all, I'm sure she did want to have fun what happend afterwards whilst she was in there is what I formed my opinions on.

Preston may have seen BB6, at least I think it was him who said he'd seen the box task before.

What about the people who talk non-stop about Chantelle's reliationship with Preston? What about the people who talk non stop about Barrymore's mental problems? What about the people who talk non stop about other issues in the house?

The bullying was, and still is, an important issue. Don't you think? At the start I tried to shrug it off as badly given advice but on day 6 or 7 during the science task when Galloway called her "a wicked person", thats when the penny dropped. What he and the others told her was vitriolic and uncalled for, and to give her credit Jodie handled it excellently and acted honourably, and that's when I changed my opinion on her. And George totally created that with his attack. And whether mistakingly or deliberately, he told the housemates that Jodie mouthed to Chantelle to tell Barrymore to "**** off" when in fact she didn't and which only raised tempers further.

You joined the anti-Jodie club on the 10th January (I loathe these childish anti-clubs, they really are pathetic) which says to me you disliked Jodie from the start. Maybe you're fed up with reading about the girl in your newspaper. If thats the case then perhaps you should read a better newspaper.

And I consider myself a fan of entertainment. I judge every housemate on their individual merrits regardless of my perceptions of them from what theyve done outside the house. I accept what I class as entertaining differs from everyone elses but I do think the louder, annoying hosuemates provide the most entertainment. But I can still chop and change my opinion of a housemate from one day to the next.

I don't know how anyone can dislike Jodie. Having criticisms about her attitude and behaviour is fine, but she's not a bad person and doesn't deserve this childish hate campaign projected towards her.

Some of the other issues develop, a lot of what I read on the bullying issue was as the same, it did my head in, the same with any issue that just has the same thing said over and over. What else is there to discuss about the 'bullying' issue?

As I have said before I formed my opinion on Jodie upon what I saw in the house, it had been 5/6 days into the show that I joined the anti club and by then I had enough of her. I have never actually read much about her in the newspaper to be honest, I only really read a few things in detail and that's usually the sports pages, If something does not interest me I don't read or watch it. I get most of my news from radio, t.v. and internet anyway.

I have had a broad range of favourite housemates in the past, I take them for what they are and choose which one's I like and that entertain me too. It's a matter of taste really.

From what I have seen I dislike certain trait's in Jodie's personality and have my own views like you have your's. We will have to agree to disagree on this one.

AndyJK 17-01-2006 07:19 PM

I too had based an opinion on Jodie after 5 days and it probably wasn't far from your own. But the argument during the science task made me rethink and it was then I felt I misjudged the situation and more than happy to defend her.

And with regards to the bullying debate, no one is forcing you or anyone to look at it or take part. There are threads I don't even click if I know what its going to be about.

But as you say we're not going to agree on this.
