i mean anything?

Yes astrology is very real, the stars and planets of the universe started moving millions of years ago to tell me today my lucky colour is green and my lucky number is 84.

I've had quite a few (what I deem as) 'paranormal' encounters in my time.

UFO's/Aliens - I'm a firm believer, around here especially there has been so, so many 'E.T' incidents. Years ago an actual UFO crashed into the hillside near Llangollen, which is five minutes away from here and also in the 80's the factory (Monsanto as it was back then, later called "Flexsys") down the road was the centre of a huge UFO investigation which even involved the army being called in after over 50 worried calls to police of sightings of a strange flying object circling the place.

Ghosts/Spirits - again, a firm believer. One time me and friends went to a birthday party in Mold near Wrexham/Chester a few years back and we had to pass a hall called 'Plas Teg' on the way, it's a known road for unexplained accidents and deaths and drivers reporting of monks appearing instantly in the road in front of the car and disappearing. We were alone at a red light coming home (me and 2 friends in the car) about 1 in the morning when my friend spotted what can only be described as a "silver outline" of a woman running along the road next to us. All of us saw it before it vanished into thin air. The only light there was the red of the traffic light plus we were the only car so it couldn't have been a reflection from anything.

As for stuff like Yeti's, monsters etc then why the hell not? I believe that there is alot of things on this earth that we haven't even scratched the surface on. It annoys me when people say "there's no such thing as..." because until we get solid proof ANYTHING could be out there.

I believe in aliens, just not little green men and I doubt we'll ever encounter one in our lifetimes. I think there is life in the universe given how big it is but that life is similar to our own. I think it's very likely that somewhere in a distant galaxy there are people wondering the same thing about us.

Arista? WTF lol

This is my view too, there must be. It's really cool to think how maybe there are people living exactly as we do all the way out there. Like a 'mirror galaxy' or something, who knows we may have lookalikes way out in space!

Crazy!

Yes I like Dezzy.

I am undecided on whether God is a metaphysical concept or an actual sentient being. The latter makes no logical sense, but it's a leap of faith.

Highly unlikely that other sentient intelligent life forms elsewhere in the galaxies would look anything like us given the evolutionary process.

Well I think most planets capable of sustaining life would share qualities with our own and as evolution takes place over millions of years chances are they'd evolve in similar ways given the shared qualities of habitable planets. We obviously wouldn't be exactly the same but if there is life in the galaxy I don't think it's anything HUGELY different to us.

Well that's what I think anyway, I'm not an expert on the subject.

Only if the life form was carbon based and oxygen sustained. Given the number of seemingly random factors that have influenced evolution, like dinosaurs being wiped out and mammallian life forms assuming precedence, even on a planet with exactly the same qualities as our own doesnt mean that any extra-terrestrial life form would even look like anything on this planet.

fair points.

I hope any extra terrestrial life forms we encounter are more reptilian based and decide to use the human life form as a food source.

Nothing like a bit of adversity to bring out the best in man.

Saying that though we would probably encounter a more technologically advanced, more spiritual race who want to help us develop.

agreed

the randomness of natural selection means that we are the only planet that will look like this but the process could be replicated elsewhere

supernatural by definition is anythythining unprovavable, relating to (a) God and the soul, superego I think Freud called it. It doesn't include the possibility of extraterrestrial life, or a pseudoscience like astrology. The questioner may as well ask is there anything which is unprovable, provable. It is always a matter of faith until it becomes a matter of science.

I never would have believed in telepathy, for example, until one night my brother's house was burgled and simultaneously I dreamt about it. I now believe there is communication between brains on a radio-like level.

believing in something such as telepathy based on one random event is hardly scientific or evidential.

I completely agree with you, but the experience I had was so uncanny it changed my mind. Is it so far-fetched to believe that minds can communicate, like one radio to another? Especially siblings? That minds contain transmitters and receivers? I dreamt what was happening to him, in his house a couple of miles away?

He came up to see me soon affter and woke me to tell me. Came in to my bedroom, said he'd been roobed. First thing I said to him was "I know".

Burglars woke his family up, he heard them downstairs, they'd removed a double-glazed window. When he disturbed them they ran off, stole key to his car.

I heard what his wife was repeating to him, word for word a sentence, in distress, can't remember it now, should have written it down, but it was some years ago.

I remember, cos of the symbolism of it, dreamining of lying on a shed roof watching a toy car dangle on a string from a tree. Since his car key had been stolen he'd been sat up all night watching the car out the window.

In a night's sleep one will have a few random dreams, random elements. That night, and at the same time, 4-ish 5-ish I had a disturbing dream, 2 dreams , meaningless, surreal.

Never before and never since anything even remotely similar.

It convinced me, and I'm a sceptic to everything.
