He has money from inheritance from his fathers death. He said that he signed over a car worth 10K to his previous GF because her one had broken, he didn't buy it, he gave it to her because he had a truck and a car and it was something he wasn't using as much.

At that rate he is going to go through the inheritance quite quickly. Although it is a lot of money, it certainly is not a fortune.

He said he had about 500,000, now I don't know if it is £ or Aussie dollars. Either way it is over £290.000.

I am not sure he does not tell porkies about money. This being the same JJ that said he was not in it for the money,as it cost as much to fly back and forth, when asked how it cost £100.000 to fly from Australia a few times he just went quiet.
He may have the half million he said he has, but probably dollars . That is one hefty pay out for compenbsation when you consider his mother would receive the bulk of it first.

Is that in Aussie dollars though? Its a lot less than pounds(half mill aus dollars = £285k)

And if he doesnt need the money then he shouldnt win the £100k prize cheq over somebody more deserving and needy. Not that the twat deserves to win anyways mind.

I think he could have got the money from his father's death, if he lost his life at work, I suspect there was a big insurance pay out and his mother saved money for him till he got to a certain age (that is a wild guess of course)
