Loved the series finale although that cliff-hanger really peed me off.

The Skins Movie will be in cinemas Summer 2011 so let's hope that get's resolved!!

I really enjoyed it, Series 3 remains my favourites, followed by Series 2, then 4 then 1 :)

I preffered the last lot to the 1/2 lot actually.

I think this cast will be great, they've had two casts and now know what they need to make a great series, I have high hope, they're revealed tomorrow @5pm on the Skins site.

the charaters were way better too
the only good characters in 3 and 4 was cook and jj imo
effy was way cooler in the older seasons but she changed i dunno why XD

Last series was an utter mess, It never went anywhere and was just completely lazily written. Let's hope the new Series can return to the quality of the first 2 series (and parts of S3).

Nothing will ever beat the first series, it's amazing!
I do like the second generation, they're just not as good, and the last series was pretty depressing!

Skins started out with a fairly realistic representation of teenage life; with dramatic embellishments to make it exciting, maybe exaggerating the drug usage etc. of the average teenager, but generally was great fun to watch, and you felt like you were growing up alongside the first generation of characters. They messed up with the second generation; and I find that unforgivable considering the actual characters were well conceived, but the plot went out the window. Series 1 and 2 were about a group of friends; Series 3 and 4 was about Effy leading on three best friends; and then a sideshow of a lesbian relationship, pushing Pandora, Thomas and Katie completely out of the picture. Katie Fitch was my favourite character of that series and she was brutally ignored for the vast majority of the two series'. The ending to series 4 was appalling, there were almost no conclusions to the story. I think the writers must have stuck their fingers in their ears to all of the 'we're sick of Freddie/Effy/Cook' criticisms of the show, because they persisted with making the three of them the main focus of series 4 as well. We weren't given a Pandora centric episode in series 4. I'd like to know why Effy was silent in the first two series, I don't particularly care that Cook's little brother is just like him.

There were so many things wrong with that series; and yet I still enjoyed watching it for the love of the original idea behind the show. I hope the new cast meet the best of both worlds... fantastic characters, portrayed as a group of friends, with a plot that goes somewhere and doesn't leave you feeling angry and as if there are a missing fifteen minutes to the conclusion of the series!

I've only saw the last series and it was so depressing, i'm still going to be watching series 5 though and i'm actually really looking forward to it.

Am I the only one who thought Generation 2 was more rateable than Generation 1?

Plus I've said it before..I ll say it again..Keya whateverhername is is an extremely overrated actor (in fact awful IMO) and I don't even find her attractive either.

I thought Effy was an overrated character, last couple of episodes in series 4 I thought she was good but before nothing special. Her acting was alright imo.

Can't help but agree. I wasn't too sure on the first generation, yet again I watch series 3 and 4 before 1 and 2 as I got 1 and 2 on DVD.

I thought Jal was boring in generation 1 and the only really good characters for me where Tony, Cassie and Anwar. Chris was just to OTT.

Pandora still remains one of my favourite ever Skins characters, from her introduction in Series 2 she always made me laugh.

Effy was, I don't know, mysterious I suppose but she was highly over-rated.

Cook was a great character, he was very believable and I enjoyed watching him too.

Freddie and Thomas were terribly boring characters. I think Pandora not getting an episode in Series 4 was a mistake, she should have had it instead of Thomas.

The twins were antastic, I loved them too, and Naomi. One of my favourite episodes was Naomily's in Series 4, I loved it.

JJ was okay. His series 4 episode was better than his series 3 one.

I cannot wait for the cast to be revealed today. It's gonna be great.

Hannah Murray aka Cassie is one of the best actors that Britain has produced in a long time. She is vastly underrated and how she isn't massive right now is beyond me.
