:mad: Jimmy Savile looks and behaves like an 80 year-old Chav. The beleagured HMs treated him like a Mafia Don(boss) at Christmas. Was it out of respect or fear of looking bad? One more thing what does the rest of the world think of our country when we put up people like Barrymore (yeuk)and Pete Banks as representative of our country? And I don't care if pete can paint well, it still doesn't make him a nice person. Hitler was an artist too. I rest my case.:puzzled:

His flirting with Chantelle and Traci was disturbing but I wouldn't go as far as to describe Sir Jim as a chav or comparible with Hitler.

I'm not sure who Pete Banks is. If you mean Pete Burns, yes he's cantakerous, rude, brusk and a drama queen but he's a colourful character and can be amusing. I don't think they're going in representative of Britain, more themselves.:

Gotta put the record straight here.Jimmy Saville has looked that way for 30 years at least.In this case he should get credit for being years ahead of his time.And that jingle jangle bling he wears could buy and sell 10 chavs at a time..His flirting is about as dangerous as an easter bunny.

At 80 he brought a breath of fresh air into the house and its only a shame that e4 denied us so much of it.

Pete banks (?) and Barrymore are exactly right for the show.Who was you expecting......Will Smith and Robbie Williams.Be realistic.

To be fair Jim's been wearing tracksuits ever since his days presenting Jim'll Fix It long before the term 'chav' was coined. He may look like a chav to some but (thankfully) he doesn't sound like one.

A bit of a one off. Obscure sexuality, obscure everything really. My boys (now 31 and 33) chatted to him when he finished the Leeds marathon in 1982. They were then 7 and 9 and described him to me as 'extremely wierd and a bit creepy'. I think they were spot on. He transcends chavdom.

He just is.

Its just his dress sense thats all and like many of you have already said hes been wearing tracksuits for years now, hes certainly not what i would call a chav.

maybe he is a Chav - and if he is at least he is "The Original Chav" the daddy of Chavs!

I can't believe that Pete Burns is being compared to Hitler simply because he can paint.

As for Sir Jimmy, like him or not (I'm not a big fan), he is an institution and I think that's why the housemates showed him respect. Not all of them did actually - some of them made some quite vicious jokes about him.

A louis Theroux documentary made fascinating viewing as he tried to expose , something , anything , weird about Jim.

What we learnt was that he is a very private man , who was maybe a bit over obsessed with his mother , who is probably hetrosexual ,but not a lot of evidence of relationships.

I'm sure if there was any real weirdness , the good 'ol British press would have ripped it up years ago.
