BB ratings dropping
 

Not saying this is solely down to Ben going,but I can see why it's happening,he was a big part of why people watched it,my friend has just sent me this,
Just a update on the ratings for those of you who don't regularly check the ratings thread. The series average is 2.9m but since Ben's eviction ratings are falling. This week's eviction was the lowest rated of the series, Rachel's interview got only 2.3m. Saturday's show was the lowest rated of the series, it got 1.8m.

Unless something drastically changes, I think the ratings will be continuing to drop up until All Stars. Although it's only week nine, BB11 really feels as if it's dragging on. I think a 10 week series would have been sufficient at this rate. With what is looking to be possibly the worst final line-up ever, I'm not sure the final will even get 3.5m..

Funny how everyone seems to be talking about this series more than any other series since BB7, it's obviously more than that just that they don't count everyone.

But how can this be possible? John James is still in there. He is BB11's raison d'etre as some people might have you believe. :joker:

Who do you mean by EVERYONE,most people i talk to think it sucks or that people are sad that even watch it:joker:

Well, we can see why it's gone down the pan because of the JJ&J monopoly, unfortunately the idiots at BB cannot.:rolleyes:

I really started to lose interest when Ben left. I do still watch it, but we've been left, apart from one or two that I still like, with a set of bland wannabe celebrities who are manipulating their way to the final. Saddest series of BB ever.

Once people found out that Corin is the favourite, they stopped watching. Can't blame them.

ben was the best housemate of the series imo and when he left it was always gonna lose loads of ratings.

Let's be honest, the ratings have been dropping for years now. I remember a time when my sister and niece used to phone me after each eviction to discuss how we felt. Over the past 3 years, both have stopped watching altogether, and though I watch the highlight shows, my viewing of the 'spin-off' stuff has decreased a lot..........

Obviously because of KING BEN'S demise!!

If it was'nt for Sam's entrance...I think that I would have said 'fairwell' to the show!! :xyxwave:

This. Well in terms of.. Ben should have stayed. Then the ratings would still stay the same. The JJ show is a joke.

If you look at the statistics though you will see that the ratings picked up at the beginning of this series and have only started to plummet again since Ben was evicted.

Its understandable really.

I've really missed Ben since he was evicted and i'm sure many others have to. Surely one of the reasons as to why the ratings are so low now.

The week that Ben went did brilliantly in the ratings, (see my thread), they have dropped abit, not hugley, they will recover, dont worry)

I was going to stop watching when Ben went but Sam has saved it for me a bit. I just miss the chats in the nest that Ben had with people - come to think of it do any of them use the nest since Ben left???

Last night actuially got 2.4m and was up against a show which got 7.3m, im sure they will be 2.5m+ tonight hopefully.

I don't think I've seen any of the nest since Ben has gone:joker:I don't watch it much now but at least I'm getting some nice early nights:xyxwave:

i can only remember seeing the nest twice since ben left.

Lets face it, this series stinks.

Just makes me relieved its ending because the meddling and manipulation has just gotten out of control.

BB11 = poor series...not as bad as BB4 though!

it all started going downhill after Dermot & Russell left. They should have did themselfs a favour and just ditched it after last years garbage. I dont think the ultimate BB will bring ratings back up. It might for a few days, but if we have to listen to Nikki scream her dumb head off for what she probley thinks is still popular I wont be watching. Well I will but I wont be in a rush to see it everyday.

Ringing round my Uni friends the general view is that a great many have stopped watching, BEN was very popular with UNI students that watch the programe,its hardly surprising,it doesn't surprise me viewing figures are falling,people hate fixes or suspected fixes of any kind.

However I had to laugh today,
In a supermarket where I am, 2 elderly ladies were talking about BB,what I could hear was ... that man from home and away, one of them would like to give him a good spanking and wash his mouth out with washing up liquid....,and the other said his girlfriend should be made to wear mittens for all the time in the house to stop her putting her filthy thumb in her mouth... she added...it doesnt matter where her hands have been her thumb goes straight in her mouth,never washed.....

I had to get out quick, I was near to hysterics laughing.
