What job do you want?

Do you know what job you want?

Like in the future to younger members, and now to the older members..

Where do you work? are you happy with it and would you like to change your job?

I left school with not a lot..
Done a years bricklaying and passed with distinction + some english and maths qualifications.
But decided i didnt want to do it..

Now i work in a co op, currently they want to make me a duty manager, but the hours are terrible.

I want to move jobs, but its so difficult as i have actually no idea what i want to do..

I wanted to be an architect but at the age i did, i didnt try hard enough at school, i was predicted A's in most subjects at GCSE level, yet didnt get close in any subject due to hanging around with the wrong people and not concentrating enough.

any whoo anyone else struggling knowing what they want to do?

I currently work on the till at a cafe. I'm coming up 16 now and it's not particularly a job I enjoy doing and would want to do forever. I'm a bit of a self confessed clever cloggs but I also have a brilliant social life. I'm predicted A's in most GCSE subjects and have done my English GCSE a year early so i'll let y'all know the result when I get it. I've got a big list of jobs i'd love to do. My dream job would to be a recording artist. I've always been fond of singing and I've won quite a lot of competitions as a child and am now trying to start being a bit less dependant on competitions to get noticed and try and start making my own music. I'd also love to teach English and do magazine editing. I love media. I'm a people person too so I'd love to do something that involves people (Customer services etc.)

Im sick of working on shift work and i want a proper 9 - 5 or 8 - 4 job..

So i have weekends back, and if i move out.. especially with my gf then it would be much easier to be working at the same time.

But i really have no idea..
I asked my mate if i could work for W.Pocock and sons.. as its his dad and grandads building company. but they said they couldnt take anymore on at the moment.

So that wasnt any good.

I'd always decided I want to be a journalist and fully intend to pursue that at university level but I'm beginning to consider to pursue acting on the side or in my spare time and see where that takes me too. All I know is that I want to be someone exceptional in whatever I end up doing.

See i work in a shop, but not generally on the till, and im very good at what i do, i always put in 110% effort thats why after 10 months of work they want to move me up, where as the other person took 21 months before they did. but im sick of it really and dont want to be working until 10pm every monday and tuesday and til 8 on sundays.

Good luck anyway lewis, wish i had an idea.

All i know is, i need time to see my girlfriend, go to the gym, see my friends..

So 9 - 5 monday - friday would be perfect.

Its a good attitude to have, be motivated, and confident in what your doing.

What puts me off uni is my mate comes out of uni with over 14,000 of debt..
and isnt guaranteed a job.
I have 5,000 in my bank.. and a much better car etc.. and have a job even if its not great.

I am working for a daily newspaper, not an editor, but responsible for the design and look. Working with the editors every day.

It is well paid, it is fun, it is interesting, it is creative, but also it is STRESS pure, and means to work in late shifts on weekends and public holidays

But I really don't want any other job!
