booo Tim

The eviction

Davina shows footage of the last hour in the house since the eviction announcement, he is obviously worried about his reception. Tim goes up the steps of shame in the house as Davina encourages the crowd to give him a cheer. He steps out to a loud boo from the crowd just as he anticipated , he stands at the top of the steps holding his fingers behind his ears in defiance of the crowd with a smug look on his face. Passing along the crowd at a safe distance he blows kisses at the very people that are booing him. Not showing much emotion for meeting his family he greets them inside the studio.

As Davina starts the interview she asks him if he was nervous he replies that he was nervous and not being himself. She shows him why he his reception would have been so bad. He defended himself about the tasks being immature in his eyes. there are no end to the footage clips of him being defiant and breaking the rules, including the shaving in bed. Davina moves on to more positve subjects, the realtionship between him and Alex. The ginger question had to be asked, he had no problem admitting that it was ginger really Davina shows him a Paul style clip of him fiddling constantly with it , tim admits it was quite ridiculous. Finally he is shown the customary 'best bits' although these prove to be not action packed and quite sedate in comparison to the other evictiees. Davina takes him outside in a rather brave move the crowd contine to boo despite Davina leading him.

I must say he took it well, and deserves a bit of respect for it.

Did anyone else hear Davina right at the end of the show?

She was giving out the phone numbers to call to pick the winner, then she stopped short and said "Oh God!" then a second later she said "I hope he's alright".

I hope someone didn't jump out from the crowd at Tim or something, ok he wasn't the most popular of people in the house but we don't want so called fans going to extremes!

I agree. I also think the noise the crowd made was more good natured than when Adele was evicted. It was not as overtly aggressive, and Tim had a bit of fun with them, good on him!

Amy 19-07-2002 09:48 PM

It was a lot calmer than when Adele was evicted and i'm glad he did'nt seem to care about the boos, good on him for taking it so well

Much as I disliked Tim whilst he was in the house, he wouldnt give the crowd the satisfaction to show that they had got to him. He was obviously worried at the reaction he was likely to get but decided to play the crowd at their own game. Not sure if it was bravado or just trying to say "hey I dont care about you, I'm above all that". Whatever way you look at it to my mind he came out of it better than the baying crowd.

Funnily enough he got the sort of reception that Nasty Nick I thought would have got had he come out the front door. Maybe Tim see's himself as the new Nick or Stewart.:laugh:

:spin:

Amy 19-07-2002 10:21 PM

Maybe Steve
He may just not care though and now realise that he's going out to see his family and friends :hello: Well that's all i'd care about any way  :wavey:

I think his actions when he came out were sheer bravado. It was either go over the top and, in essence, stick two fingers up to the baying crowd, or go to pieces. He chose the former. He readily admitted both before he came out, and in his interview with Davina, that he was very nervous. I think his blowing kisses etc was just his way of dealing with it.

I thought he did himself proud tonight, the booing must have been horrible to hear, but he didn't let it get to him.

And I'm glad his girlfriend was there for him as well

I was glad his girlfriend was there for him tonight too, purplequeen. Although I didn't care for Tim in the house, I thought he was extremely brave tonight walking through that hostile crowd. You could tell how terrified he was and I'm sure that knowing he had the support of his family and friends would have helped him to cope with it.
