In these times of enlightenment and tolerance toward gay people, it's much easier and socially accepted for a straight man to be close friends with a gay man!
And it's all for the good!!....We're all human beings anyway!!
In my day....it was virtually impossible to be anything but 'shy-aquaintances' with someone of a 'certain sexual orientation'!...That was shyte, being firmly 'hetero'...I probably missed out on any number of good friendships!!

Whether Andrew is straight ,bi or gay is his own business...and would'nt change my perception of him by any percentage-points!!
