As a rule I agree with you in principle that no celebs, models, reality stars, or really anyone with an 'agent' or who has been appearing on television ought to be picked for Big Brother.

It 'could' be interesting to have, as part of a group, one person who does just so happen to be an actor, journalist etc,
but,
unfortunately that quickly became stacking the house with 'returning favours' from every Talent Agent that knew any Casting people/Agents with BB and C4 and the whole 'biz'.

Ben had been the exception and this year they did manage more non-Agent people for more balance overall.
So Ben did work after all.

But as a rule I agree with your complaint and I remember watching that mess called BB10 and wondering if there was even a single HM who was not from a Talent Agency or the nephew of a Producer.

I don't see why they need to, it isn't something they have tried to hide. The audition and selection process has been discussed openly.

JJ2 has been on the Cube, Mario has been on a heinz ketchup ad, Rachel was on Xfactor or pop idol or some such rubbish, Shabby was an actress who had appeared in ads and films as an extra, etc etc etc:bored::sleep: So what?

Several of the HMs did not apply for the show.
They all auditioned though according to Phil Edgar Jones.

Steve,Shabby,Ben,Keeva,and Dave I think were all contacted via email or phone sugesting they all attend the auditions and they will be fast tracked rather than have to queue up in line like everyone else.
Ben has done loads of tv,he is a professional reality tv player just like Noirin last year and Mario the year before.

I thought everyone was aware of the media connections and fast tracking of this years HMs.

Mario queued to get in and queued again for 8 hrs when he didnt get in at first. He applied every year. He had no favours or fast-tracking.
