They let him call his family?

From DS Live updates about 1 hour ago

Josie repeats to John James her belief that he pretends to be stronger than he actually is. Frustrated, the Australian replies that he genuinely hasn't struggled with being in the house because he has had many opportunities to get close to the outside world. He then lists the pantomime horse race and the phone calls to his family yesterday as examples of this.

( What the hell !!! )

Of course he did, that was his ultimatum to BB "Let me talk to Nathan, or I walk".

crocs 20-08-2010 04:30 PM

I read in another thread that he said that BB wants him to stay there so he had gotten calls. Yes, plural, but I don't know if it was a mistake of the poster. However, that made me think that he'd actually gotten calls and BB just doesn't let us know.

They hardly ever let you know what happens in the DR, their obsession with secrecy and censoring just pisses me off.

Kazanne 20-08-2010 04:35 PM

He got a phone call from Nathan as he told BB that would be the only thing that would keep him there,as he was quaking in his boots after what he said about Rachael, bleedin coward

fuzzylovin 20-08-2010 04:36 PM

Its probs fixed for the aussie twit to win the show.

And if there is some kind of hissy fit at the eviction, be prepared for a "Technical Fault" announcement.

Especially this series, or don't I just remember the other series correctly... Some people have hardly been seen in the diary room. Some of them I understand, because they probably don't add anything interesting to the programme.

The most obvious (and stupid) kind of censoring is when they cut the sound when Housemates are reading laminates or when the BB announcer starts to tell them about a task!:joker::joker:

smudgie 20-08-2010 05:47 PM

just more of him thinking he ran the show, telling Josie that he misses family and friend less because he spoke to them all and saw them all when he won the TOT task (which he actually failed).
He is such a deluded twit, the way he prattles on about mememememememe.

Jase. 20-08-2010 05:49 PM

Are they actually taking the piss? Why don't they just let him call the local media for all the goss?

Awful. I'm so glad he'll be gone tonight.

Kazanne 20-08-2010 07:59 PM

John James has denied Josie's claims that he has struggled with life in the house, attributing the ease of the experience to his numerous chances to interact with the outside world.

Earlier on today, the 25-year-old Bristolian declared that John James isn't "as strong as he makes out", a belief that she repeated directly to him this afternoon.

Brushing off her claims that he never seemed to be missing people outside of the house, the Australian housemate explained: "Maybe it's because I went out on the horse task, maybe it's because I got the video call that I don't feel as far away as you have.

"I've spoken to my friends, every single one of them, I've had a conversation with my mum so it doesn't feel weird."

Josie accepted her partner's reasoning, agreeing that she wouldn't feel so isolated in the house if she had been given the chance to speak with her loved ones.

John James was granted permission to communicate with the outside world by Big Brother when he threatened to leave the house earlier this week.
