Sayings you've never quite understood.

I'll start.

''Off you trolley'' - Surely being off it is a lot more sane than being on it?

Ninastar 21-08-2010 12:42 AM

Bob's your Uncle

First of all, no is isnt, I have no uncle bob. Second who even is he and why do people say it?

Smithy 21-08-2010 12:45 AM

Swings and Roundabouts - I want to be on both of them, but usually in sayings they are bad things D:

Ninastar 21-08-2010 12:46 AM

GypsyGoth 21-08-2010 12:51 AM

Smithy 21-08-2010 12:53 AM

Think it had to do with someone applying for a high profile job years ago and the politician who picked him was actually his uncle Robert, he got the job. Its more about nepotismetc.
