Chantelles 25K?

Would this money ONLY have been given if she won? If Michael had won would the money go to him? not been awarded at all? or go to his chosen charity? I'm quite baffled.

I think Chantelle should personally award the money to charity and she would gain alot of respect for doing so aswell as gain double the money back doing radio/tv/mags etc.

Nope .. only if Chantelle won .. i think

At the start of the launch show Davina said their would be no prize money but the money from the calls we made would be divided equally amoung the HM's and they would give it to charity.

Thats right my understanding was that the HMs chosen charities would all benefit from them taking part in the show. The money for Chantelle is an extra to that I believe.

sorry didnt want her to win its boring:bored:

So it didnt matter where the celebs ended up then? All charities get the same amount. Seems pretty pointless the winner should of got a bonus for his/her charity but since chantelle won only she gains. I know the celebs got a fee for entering the house so the 25k ends up being her "fee" or did she get a an original fee i wonder.

Sunny_01 27-01-2006 11:13 PM

I believe she entered the house as a normal BB contestant and did not get a fee - she will have had her expenses paid the same as they normally do.

I think she earned it! The Charity got the cut from all the votes made for her & at 53% that's a fair sum of money! She didn't get a fee like the celebs who only turned up to get it!

What she actually said was: "There's no prize fund because we figured we were paying them enough anyway! But a percentage of the money from your votes will be shared equally between all the housemates' charities." Some of the newspapers were suggesting that they were each paid £150,000 to appear, and Marsh confirmed that they were being paid when she said that she would only be attending the final night because otherwise she wouldn't get her cheque.

Well done to Chantelle, she deserved the 25K in my opinion.

InTheHood 28-01-2006 10:51 AM

As long as it was out of Endemol's pockets, and not taken from the charities money, then it's fine

Chrizzle 28-01-2006 03:04 PM

Chantelle WASNT getting paid
But as she was just a normal housemate (Like Anthony or Nadia) she got paid.
Davina clearly stated this last night.
If Michael had one he wouldnt have got the money and the £25k would have gone no-where. And Chantelle wouldve of got nothing.
