Would it be in Josie's best interests if she does not win?

Since it looks like the relationship between John-James and Josie is real.

<<Pauses whilst the cynics vent>>

If Josie wins, then she will still be stuck in the house with this Ultimate Big Brother nonsense and away from her beau for another two weeks or so causing her anxiety and stress.

Also as winner, the minders may decide she is to be a single lass and send John-James packing

That being the case.

If we want to see this romance flourish

<<Pauses whilst the Josie haters and the John-James haters vent>>:bored:

Josie has to not win.

The question is, who is second favourite?

Andrew, Dave Mario?

In order to vote for love and romance to win through, and for Josie's own good, someone else must win.

I have not said who, that is for others to decide along with an assessment of this argument.

AfroMullet 21-08-2010 03:49 PM

I dont think its in anyones best intrest to not be given that amount of money LOL.

vesavius 21-08-2010 03:51 PM

Ahh this is the new tactic to move votes away from Josie? That it's for 'her own good'? Nonsense.

I don't buy your line for one second, and nor should anyone else.

Josie will do fantastically in UBB, though she won't win (nor will she expect to), and she will come out to a nice little nest egg and a chance at a relationship.

Nothing but good for her in all that.

LaLaLand 21-08-2010 03:54 PM

I think it'd be healthy in some ways.

If she feels the same way about him when she comes out of UBB then good, but she could also think "it was just the environment" and after having the taste of victory could decide she doesn't need him.

As long as they put in good ex-housemates, they will all outshine her and she will fade into the background.

To be honest any of BB11's crop would have.

To say that she [or anyone of this years crop] would be one of the biggest characters amongst the greats is just plain stupid.

charmingmissc 21-08-2010 03:59 PM

if she does win, she could refuse and nominate sam to go in her place.

Who said that? Stop putting words in my mouth please.

I said she will do fantastically, and that means she will have a great time and flourish, and thats all I want for her.

uvhater 21-08-2010 04:03 PM

never know that if she does win and goes on to UBB the producers could send John James in as some sort of task. She may get used to life without him and just get on with life.

By saying she would 'do fantastically' is basically implying she would go far [i.e could win] and be one of the best housemates.

But fair enough then.

I clearly said she wouldnt win.

Sticks 21-08-2010 04:17 PM

My argument is not about whether Josie would do well in UBB, but sparing her anxiety caused by being away from her beau. In one sense the argument works with John James as well.

I am not even endorsing the campaigns of the other HM's

There is a saying that sometimes Not getting what you want could be the best thing to happen to you.

chloedancer 21-08-2010 04:21 PM

She has to win,she allready had that 100 k spent on her first weeks food shopping.

Yes ..... if she stays in for UBB, she won't be able to cope with the new house "dynamics" on her own - it's more than likely, too, that her post-BB experience won't be a "promised land" but a dreadful anti-climax - after all, what has she got to offer the media ?

If she finishes anywhere else than first, the pressure's off .....

arista 21-08-2010 04:25 PM

Andrew would be best to Win
her would use the money best.

If only she could

crocs 21-08-2010 04:32 PM

How does the prize money go actually? Will the BB winner get the money and there's another prize for the UBB winner or will only the UBB winner get money? Or will UBB winner just get the title, no money? I haven't seen any mention of it.

It s the last BB and I am sure she would love to win. And two weeks in the BB house is just that two weeks. I am also dieing to see how Nikki would behave towards Josie. I say she is going to creep up her bum as Josie will turn out to be alot nicer than she thinks.

But if she starts on Josie I think Josie will put her in her place. Josie looks like she is capable of standing up for herself.

Also if John and Josie wants to be together, they will be together regardless of what anyone decides for them. They should not let anyone dictate what they should or should not do outside the house as then to me it is not real if they allow others to map out their relationship.

Oh, I get your 'argument' Sticks, honestly.

It's just that the agenda is transparent and the 'argument' is just weak.

Sticks 21-08-2010 04:59 PM

My agenda is merely to better facilitate a romance and give it the best chance of flourishing.

My thoughts were that this could be best expedited by Josie leaving on Tuesday so she can be with John-James on the outside world as soon as possible. If UBB were not adding to the mix this may not have come to mind, although a win could make it difficult to hook up with her beau, because of over zealous minders.

I do not hate Josie or have any thing against her.

Julesuk 21-08-2010 04:59 PM

I believe she gets the money for winning this series not for Ubb. I dont think she would cope if she won If Sam couldnt go back in as much as I dont like him I think mario would appreciate the experience the most although he would be demolished with the ultimates. I cant wait to see if John and hers relationships flourished - I think it has been the most genuine relationship ever formed in the house. They are opposites but she is what he needs.

stonedape 21-08-2010 05:08 PM

If UBB was a month+ long, you might have an argument, but it's two weeks. If anything, going on UBB will only generate more interest in the JJJ love story. Plus the money from stipends/prizes...There is no sane reason any HM should not want to win.

Sticks 21-08-2010 09:21 PM

Looking at how distressed Josie was in the highlights show, underlines what I was saying in the OP.

None of them care about the money

It would be kinder to Josie if someone else won, so they go into UBB and Josie could be with the one she loves

That is until our immigration law separates them once more :bawling:

Sticks 21-08-2010 09:28 PM

Addendum

Just learned this on another thread

My original analysis still stands.

It would be kinder to reunite Josie with John James ASAP.

Let someone else get stiffed with UBB

Who, am not fussed.

For the record I do not hate Josie.

If there were no UBB I might not be saying all this, although my concern would be that the win might, and still could put up a barrier between them as some would say John James was only after her money :bored:

So if I have to come out of neutrality it would be for the 2nd favourite, whoever that is, So Josie and John James can be reunited.

luminoussun 21-08-2010 09:30 PM

I bet 50 pounds brian bellows humps her in the love nest within 5 days
