Natalia Kills - the next big thing?
 

Anybody heard of this chick yet?

You may remember her as "Verbalicious" a few years ago and had a hit with "Don't Play Nice".

Well she's back with a Will.i.am produced album, "Perfectionist" and a somewhat violent 'gimmick' which involves her using taboo issues in her work including hints of sadomasochism, murder, kidnap etc. Really edgy stuff.


She's been causing an absolute storm on YouTube with vlog episodes called "Love Kills xx" where she basically kills her boyfriend, it's all really interesting and has gotten her a hell of alot of hype.

She's was raised in Bradford and obviously takes influence from Rihanna's current "Rated R" era and Lady Gaga with quirky, futuristic fashion sense and similar music style but it's the gimmick which makes her stand out from the rest.

I've heard of her but I'm not to sure if she'll make it, she doesn't imo seem like anything to special

Only heard "Zombie", but it's not too bad. She is unrecognisable from her 'Verbalicious' persona, which can only be a good thing.

Ediy: "Mirrors" isn't so good, having heard it now. It sounds like somebody else wrote/produced it judging by the difference.

One Lady Gaga is bad enough.

I love her. Her best song is 'Activate My Heart' imo.

Mirrors is good but I can't see her being "the next big thing" in all honesty.

Mirrors is good but is no where near as catchy as Just Dance.

"Mirrors" is a future smash. It's MAJOR.

However good she apparently is, if she's just another 'quirky futuristic pop gurl!111' i doubt she'll be massive. even with the gimmick.

She's recording new songs for the US release of her album so a new song we haven't heard yet will probably be her 1st single here in the US (and in the UK?).

She has potential to be big, she just needs the right song. I LOVE her Wonderland video:
