is anyone else surprisingly not even that sad that bb is nearly over?
i thought i would be but i'm not really lmao
|
Nope I said before it started its time to end it all.
And this series has confirmed what I thought. Its a knackered old donkey. |
I won't be sad really but it'll hit me when the UBB final comes up in 2+ weeks that that's it.
I'll be a bit like "aw" but nothing else. |
I am a bit sad actually.. It's been a huge part of my summer every year for 10 years.. Next summer won't be the same (unless the ch5 thing goes ahead) :)
|
Couldn't care less, this series has made me not give a **** about the show.
|
After the abbhorent mess they've made this year, not really.
I still think I'll be a little 'lost' come the 10th September but I don't know...they've completely ruined it this year. |
I went from watching as much LF as I could and every HLs .... to nothing after fridays BBBM ... haven't missed it at all although I do pop in here once or twice a day to see if anything earth-shattering has happend (it hasn't) .... I don't miss it at all, not a bit (surprised me because I thought I'd miss the 'routine' if nothing else) .. but NO!
Can't wait till its all done with tbh! |
I have thoroughly loved this year so far, and I'm still enjoying it. I'm looking forward to UBB, but I have to say I'll be glad to get my life back after this. I get glued to LF somedays and I make sure I'm home for BBLB and the HL shows, so yea it'll be great to be free again

Agree.
I thought I'd be bawling my eyes out but I'm not, it's all down to the sh*t series tbh. I thought if All Stars had been good I'd miss it but it sounds sh*t too. It may hit me on the very last day though.. |

Come next year Ill be gutted that its not on (if it hasnt been signed to another channel), but for now, nah not really.
Cant wait for UBB though :] |
I will miss it, I wont be upset as in crying, but I will be a little sad! I actually enjoyed this series, not the best ever but still good!
|
IF this cast had been allowed to develop in the classic way, stayed closer to the original premise and rules and we came down to a special winner who's story (journey) captured some imagination then.. ..yeah, I would probably feel a bit upset/emotional.
The way a superb casting was beaten up, switched in and out, the sort of 'abandoning' of the classic 'arc' and development phases, and, that we end up with either a winner nobody really likes or cares about and at best a Josie 'default win'? Nah, I don't even know when the final is and even feel a sense of 'glad it's over' because its obvious voters are senseless now anyways. Now then.. the next question though is where will UBB bring everyone? I can see that bringing back all the memories and emotions and really feel like the nails are going into the coffin. |
I'll miss something to watch but not really the show anymore.

Nope not sad.
As a fan of the show since day 1 (in fact I watched BB1 Germany before moving back home in time to catch BB1 UK) I felt excited to watch the last ever show. I decided too out of a sense of (misguided) loyalty that I would stick with it to the end come what may. It's been hard going because I no longer fit the show's newer demographic who accept a dumbed-down, tabloidal version of what's entertaining in BB. I firmly believe that the choice of HM's was supposed to bring us a classic old school vibe BB but sadly the producers were unable to uphold this premise because they threw the original format out the window along with rule book and any impartialism. The day to day running of the show was amateur, the tasks were little more than mediocre club 18-30 holiday rep material, the wild card Tree Of Temptation was a joke (oooh fear the wrath ) and the the show has made no attempt to conceal it's favouritism. If I could be allowed to get a bit Charlie Brooker for a moment, I have visions of early production meetings populated by keen interns who thought it would be cool to go "retro" and the stuffy old producers thinking "well these kids have their finger on the pulse" and just letting them do what they want. But these interns never saw the early shows and didn't realise that (unlike the nu style freakfest BBs) honour and group compliance were strong motivators back then. Remember Nasty Nick getting booted for writing a note (and not even passing it on)? This year's "favourites" have been allowed break rules with very little recourse and to hold BB over a barrel to get what they wanted or the would "leave", even to the point of getting to make phone calls, culminating in a free ride to the final for the chosen one. It's all been a big old fix but you have to not be a gullible teenie to see it. How many grown ups believed that JJ1&2 stayed inside the horse costume all the way to the race track and back? [/Charlie Brooker] The show had so much potential but was distracted in almost it's entirety with the protruded "will they, won't they?" (in the end they didn't) which held the attention of the target audience but bored the other more discerning viewers in the demographic. It was hard to retain a favourite when the other characters weren't allowed to develop fully due to the over exposure of the fauxmance and in the end a late arrival HM, whom I'm sure wouldn't cut it under normal circumstances shone through as the star of the show because of how he upset the boring status quo and drew the attention away from a smelly duvet. The show could have been pulled from the brink of tedium by Sam and a tremendous final made up of all the major players but alas a bad decision by the producers resulted in a final made up of minor characters and their chosen winner which predictably has killed the show dead. I've pretty much stopped watching since Friday. The HL were on last night but I didn't really pay much attention to it. I only watched to count how many times Andrew failed the "Yes" task to prove to myself how much of a sham the whole show is. We counted 4 fails (and that's just in the HL) and noted how they didn't let Dave into the joke until the end because he would have blown it and Josie wouldn't have got her roots done and Anthia would have had to be sent home again. Tbh I'm glad it's over. |
I am sad that Sam Pepper didn't win. The morons don't appreciate him.
|
Im sad that its over :(
|
I love watching BB every summer, but every year I am glad to get my life back on track.
It has been okay this year. I am happy that JJames has not gone on to win it, sorry Sam Pepper did not win after he brought the housse back to life. Would love a shocker of a winner just to finish it off nicely. |
Not really. Watching the kind of winner we're going to have after watching 10 years of this show is quite depressing. :( glad it's over soon!
