Manchester United and Chelsea set for transfer deadline day bidding war
Jack Rodwell has been eyed up by the two Premier League giants and matters could come to a head on Tuesday.

If he was to move he'd be better off at united.

Chelsea's midfield is so strong it would be hard to get a place.

uTalk of a new goalkeeper arriving at Arsenal had died down - albeit for a few days - but with the window about to close, it seems the Gunners may be about to make a last-ditch bid to bring in Hugo Lloris.

It's the first time the French international has been linked with a move to the Emirates, and rumours suggest Arsene Wenger has been a long-time admirer of the 23-year-old.

Lloris currently plays for Lyon, having joined them from Nice in 2008. The keeper has excelled for Lyon, and has been voted Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year for the past two seasons.
He has been capped 14 times by France and was in the between the sticks for all three of their ill-fated World Cup group games in South Africa.

Looks like we have put in a 4m bid for schwarzer :(

I ****ing love transfer deadline day

Chels 31-08-2010 12:11 PM

Rumours are Gabbidon or Davenport will sign today... load of shyte, Davenport's training with Leeds and Gabbidon's a first-teamer at West Ham.

We don't need anymore players, as long as we keep hold of everyone (bar Rae, Gerrard or Taiwo; them 3 can piss off) I'll be happy.

Even if it's true (which I highly doubt) then they can both do one!!

Highly doubt we're going to be doing any business today, there's rumours about Pienaar going to Spurs ('Arry offered £2mil, yeah okay fook off you cheeky bastard!), Yakubu and Yobo to West Ham being talked about again. I honestly don't think anyone will go and noone will come the other way either.

At least the Moysey to Villa thing has calmed down again now - idiots

Who the fack? We can't sign anymore loans either...

MissKittyFantastico 31-08-2010 01:16 PM

Looks like Babel is on his way to Spurs for around £9mil

MissKittyFantastico 31-08-2010 01:24 PM

West Ham considering an offer from Liverpool for Carlton Cole.

MTVN 31-08-2010 01:25 PM

Hoping we can hold on to Scott Parker today

Chels 31-08-2010 01:28 PM

I've always thought he was quite a solid defender, and our defence needs all the help it can get right now

When he's good he's great, he's very hit and miss though and at times last season he was awful for us lol. Moyes seem to prefer Distin over him which I agree with. He's not getting in our team at the moment so he could work out well for you :)

MissKittyFantastico 31-08-2010 02:01 PM

Lmao now they saying on Talksport that Yobo's been seen at Celtic's training ground.

Chels 31-08-2010 02:11 PM

Sorry I won't slag him off again but I'm still bitter so.. :p

Talkshyte knows nothing, I'd trust Sky with all the transfer news

He sounds a lot like Mark Hudson, he's inconsistent as fook but on his day he's one of the best center halfs in the Championship. He had a dodgy season last season cos he was out injured for over 3 months and had surgery on his ankle, but he's come back this season stronger and has been an absolute rock so far :)

MTVN 31-08-2010 04:28 PM

Scott Parker staying at West Ham :cheer2:

We've also supposedly rejected a £9 million bid for Carlton Cole, I wouldnt have minded selling him for that price, but (and this was apparently our reason for turning it down) we dont really have a viable replacement, and wouldnt have been left with enough time to sign one

Chels 31-08-2010 04:33 PM

I thought Babel was part of the deal?

EDIT: Never mind, just said on SSN the deal is off and he's on his way back up to Liverpool.
