Will never get back with Chantelle

His mum has spoken out and said that Chantelle would do well to steer clear of Preston as they have absolutely nothing in common, and she will get her heart broken again.

I've always thought this because Preston is upper middle class, has a pedigree that can be traced back several centuries, went to a private school and had a privileged upbringing. He is extremely pretentious which was demonstrated when he stormed off of Never Mind the Buzzcocks when Simon Amstell was taking the mickey out of Chantelle's autobiography.

He clearly looks down on Chantelle, and whilst he might have been "in lust" with her, I don't think he was ever "in love" with her. Now his band has split up, I seriously think he will encourage her hopes with one eye firmly on mag deals. He has said a few times in the house that they have very little in common, and I believe he considers himself superior to her in every way. I honestly can't understand what on earth Chantelle sees in him - he's not even good looking, and he's a monumental bore. I hope she takes his Mum's advice and moves on, because it will never work.

Yes. They will get back together. For the money. Chantelle still loves Preston. But Preston doesn't love Chantelle. But they will stick together for the magazine deals and maybe a spin-off TV2 show...

WHAT PRESTON AND CHANTELLE DID NEXT...

Niamh. 07-09-2010 03:58 PM

yeah, i agree. I remember when they got together him making some comment about people in school taking the mick out of him and now he's got a busty blonde wife so there sort of thing (not exact words!) It seemed she was a bit of a trophy to him from the start

InOne 07-09-2010 04:00 PM

They both are as bad as eachother.

HBB1508 07-09-2010 04:01 PM

I think they will see each other when they get out of the house to gauge if there are any magazine deals in the offing - if there are then they will probably hang out for a while and if not that will be that. She seems to still be carrying a torch for him but he is so not interested in my opinion.

I reckon they will have it off on the Friday (Final) night. Probably around 1am in some hotel.

Hopefully they can stay friends at least.
I don't think Preston looks down on anybody. Just a normal well mannered lad to me.

I agree he's a nice, well mannered but boring young man, but I think he believes himself to be intellectually superior to Chantelle - he was saying that whereas he would like to go to the theatre or a museum, Chantelle wasn't interested. I always got the impression he was slightly ashamed of her, and I'm not surprised the relationship didn't last.

She probably embarrassed him in front of his posh mates. She will just have to move on. If she won 200.000 he'd be on bended knee again, i'll bet.

it's jus not going to happen!

Omen 07-09-2010 07:56 PM

He's a spotty herbert.

shaz20 07-09-2010 08:11 PM

Chantelle should have never went in with him, if she was starting to get over him she has knocked herself right back again. It is obviously affecting her a lot because she is always upset and crying. :bawling:

Do people understand, 3-4 weeks ago she was friviously shaggying Defoe, far from the sweet innocent puritine she tried to make herself out to be when they first dated.

Preston usually dates highly educated classy women, Chantelle is just an extreme he was attracted to, and got caught up in with the media sensation whirlwind of the BB show.

It is the case of fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

And yet he was lead singer in the band, the Ordinary Boys. :joker:

They're both multi-millionaires, so they're not short of a few quid. But I do think they're both greedy for more money and the limelight.

SFGiantsfan 08-09-2010 03:56 PM

I don't understand the whole class thing, it has nothing to do with anything. I just don't think he wants to go there again.

I see you're from the USA - unfortunately class is still a big issue in England, and Preston, being a direct descendant of Charles, Earl Grey, clearly considers himself too good for Chantelle the quintessential Essex girl. He strikes me as an intellectual and cultural snob and has said himself he has nothing in common with her.

I dont think most people are too bothered by people backgrounds.

On topic - I dont think he ever loved her. She's far too soppy and he's far too boring to make it work.
