Chiefs hail Ordinary Boy
 

Brits favourites Kaiser Chiefs have said they owe it all to Celebrity Big Brother contestant Preston.

The Chiefs, who are nominated for five Brit Awards, think it was down to the Ordinary Boys singer that they got a record deal.

Frontman Ricky Wilson, 28, said: "It was Preston who convinced his boss at the B-Unique label to sign us. Otherwise we might still be unheard of."

As well as thanking his friend, Wilson talked about Preston's decision to go into the Celebrity Big Brother House.

He said: "At first I thought he was mental to go on Big Brother. But two days in I realised he had made the best decision of his life. He came across really well."

Kaiser Chiefs are joint favourites at the Brits with James Blunt, who also has five nominations.
