Dear [BLANK]

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding Big Brother.

We are always pleased to hear from our viewers and thank you for your interest in our future plans. We are at a very exciting time in our history and have some great shows coming up that we hope you’ll enjoy. However, we are not in a position to reveal those shows yet, but please bear with us, as we are hoping to make some fantastic programme announcements in the coming weeks and months.

Nevertheless, your suggestions have been noted for the attention of all relevant Five personnel.

If there is anything further we can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your interest in Five.

Yours sincerely
I can't wait for 'All New Big Brother' premiering Summer 2011 :)

We'll just have to wait and see..

Will Big Brother get back to us...? ;)

Roff123 10-09-2010 10:53 PM

My original message to Channel 5 was specifically aimed at Big Brother production ideas for when they bring it back and how they can improve it, so the fact they have noted my suggestions says something. Why would they note down Big brother ideas when they wouldn't be hosting it?

Just some food for thought :)

Interest peaked but still appreciating the now

Of course it is, I never claimed it wasn't. I actually work in customer service and pre-defined responses are first priority in having to deal with the huge amount of emails that get sent in. :)

I'd like to see it back, but not for a few years.

You probably know the importance put on your comments then, don't you?

They are obliged to take note of suggestions even if they don't use them. Usually they are added to a log of ideas/suggestions for reference if anyone needs to refer to them at any time.

I also didn't say that they were 100% definitely going to use my comments, that wasn't the point of this thread. :)

What was the point of the thread?

I hope it comes back on Five, in 2012.

To show that they are being positive towards Big Brother suggestions and not dismissing them. Showing further signs of a contract signed between EndemolUK and Channel Five. I thought the 'I can't wait for 'All New Big Brother' premiering Summer 2011' gave enough hints. :)

But they arent actually being positive, its a bog standard reply to all suggestions comments etc. You said yourself pre deined responses are used to respond to all inbound suggestions etc.

Its when you get a personal reply written by a real person that shows you you comment has really been noted and maybe actually be read by someone in authority.

shawson did you go to bed? i was enjoying our chat, i feel lonely now :(

If Channel 5 get Big Brother. They need to clamp down on the wannabes. They need to get people who can really pick housemates. Like my Ulrika thread, the mere fact this sludge got into the UBB house ahead of Rex, Marcus etc is utterly baffling. And really shows how they don't have a clue what they are doing.

It shows nothing.

You agreed with another poster that it was an automated reply. From other posters it looks like a pre-defined 'template' response to common enquiries.

You also said, 'Usually they are added to a log of ideas/suggestions for reference if anyone needs to refer to them at any time.'

I certainly don't think any of that shows positivity. :)

Which would you prefer? Have all your ideas scrapped or have them added to some sort of log? Pretty obvious.
