£69Billion Debt bail out for Ireland
On Ch4 News
and SkyNewsHD Anglo Irish Bank is a problem. And now €uro Funds are getting used to save these banks and the mess. |
We're screwed for a decade or more.

Yes on Ch4News a taxi driver , telling the reporter
was Angry as his Son can not find work and has to return to Education |
It's an insane amount of money, something like €66,000,000,000 they reckon, for a population of 4,000,000.
We are going to have the most savage of cuts and a very very long winter of discontent. |
Front headlines of the paper are "Black Thursday"
|
It's the credit-crunch, only supersized. We went mad building houses and selling them to one another. Now we've about 300,000 too many houses that aren't worth a lot.
|
Here's an indicator of how crazy it got; land in parts of Dublin was the most expensive in the world.
|
Ireland is just a fail, apart from Noirin what exactly have they given the world?

Ah well there will be a few bankers going without bonuses in Dublin next year eh?
Cutting the link to Sterling in 1979 and joining the ERM might have let them join the free money club, and Ireland did quite well out of Europe for a number of years. But expecting that being a member of the Euro club would sustain their economy and allow them to carry on with their self perpetuated housing boom wasnt the brightest way for the banks to make money. |

Joyce was born on Herkimer Street in Brooklyn, NY [2] to a Protestant mother and an Irish Catholic father who had taken United States citizenship. A few years after his birth the family returned to Galway, Ireland. He attended the Jesuit St Ignatius College in Galway from 1915 to 1921. Unusually for Irish Roman Catholics, both Joyce and his father were strongly Unionist |

Shaw was a proponent of the theory of "eugenics" that believed in the improvement of the human race through selective reproduction.[69] Advocates of this theory feared society was at risk due to a declining gene pool because inferior people were breeding much more rapidly than the better ones. They advocated for public policies that would prevent this. Shaw claimed only eugenics could save mankind.[70] Shaw even suggested people should have to regularly appear before a board to justify their existence Shaw also called for the development of a "deadly" but "humane" gas for the purpose of killing those unfit to live. A few more famous people: Brendan Behan, Samuel Beckett, Michael Gambon, Phil Lynott, Peter O'Toole, Richard Harris.. |
