cher is ****e.

she was doing weird rap/singing:conf: i dont get how anybody on here can say shes good when she is probably the weakest vocalist out of the girls.

and i feel sorry for louis walsh

Jordan. 02-10-2010 08:07 PM

No.

Z 02-10-2010 08:09 PM

Agreed.

Zippy 02-10-2010 08:09 PM

Its not just about vocal technique. Its about artistry and individuality. Cher could make a very interesting pop star given the chance.

And she will be through. Her performances will be different to the norm. Which is good for the show.

Smithy 02-10-2010 08:10 PM

Yep, she's pretty shocking

Stacey. 02-10-2010 08:12 PM

Nope, she's great.

We heard what she can sing like in her audition and at bootcamp.

It wasn't her fault that she couldn't sing tonight.

Zippy 02-10-2010 08:14 PM

The judges are gonna base their decisions on ALL the evidence not just the 2 mins they performed in front of them. Cher was great in front of an audience and thats what its all about ultimately. So there!

But I don't think she can sing at all well. People liked her initially because she gave a very different audition. I liked her for that reason. Her performance techniques (e.g. her gurning) are shocking, her voice is dire and if she can't sing any song she likes in front of a pianist, two judges and a camera crew - she won't cope with singing specific songs in front of an audience of the watching nation, four judges and a camera crew!

well she already did.

And performing for a few can be much harder than for a large audience. Some performers need an audience to feed off.

No, she didn't. The pressure of the live shows is far greater than that of the audition stages. She's gotten worse and has fast been exposed as a one trick pony in my opinion; it's an absolute travesty if she goes through.

Yeah I like her uniqueness, and I think she'll be able to sing any song, but just make it different in her own way. She'll probably be a bit like Diana, with the love and hate thing.

Mystic Mock 02-10-2010 08:22 PM

i think rap fans will like cher.

This.

She'll go thru and there will be a lot of sympathy for the girls turned down who gave a better performance at the judges house. Cher is too limited in her range and technique which Zippy hampers her individuality. Without the technique to back up the talent Cher simply does not have what it takes. Having said that I agree with Zippy in that Cher will give interesting performance that split the public opinion. She's already the most talked about contestant.

Zippy 02-10-2010 08:23 PM

She will be through and she will come up with some of the more unique performances in the show. When her voice is better and she has time to rehearse her songs she will be kickass. No doubt.

Gamu can p!ss off.

No they wont cuz she cant rap.

joeysteele 02-10-2010 08:24 PM

At the auditions she was really good, but you ahve to take the chances when given them.
She had throat problems but even allowing for that her nerves destroyed her,at the auditions you get to sing songs you know and problably enjoy singing, but the 'live' shows are like the judges houses, the acts have to sing songs given to them that they may not like or enjoy singing.

On the evidence of her performance for Cheryl, I think the same thing will happen at the 'live' shows, it would be unwise to risk her and add to her embarrassment by putting her through this year.
She should maybe come back next year.

I also feel really sorry for Louis,he has a mammoth task getting any chance of reaching past the first 5 weeks with what he's got.

BB_Eye 02-10-2010 08:25 PM

I like her, but I think she might be a bit too young for it this year.

joeysteele 02-10-2010 08:26 PM

zippy, has a point there though, some acts do need an audience to feed their confidence, that's true.

Niamh. 02-10-2010 09:05 PM

She was brutal tonight, never liked her anyway but it will be a travesty If Cheryl puts her through.

Lee. 02-10-2010 09:18 PM

She's absolutely, ridiculously, utterly crap!!

I STILL cannot believe we are watching her at this stage of the competition!
