I think its quite stupid you comparing them both because they both are black.
They are completely different, Andy had a lot of footage during the audition process and generally stood out. John we did not even see until judges homes.
They sing completely differently as well.

I really don't think [from what I can remember] anyone expected Andy to come 2nd in Series 2. That was my point.

Andy was popular from the offset as I remember; with the ole binman doing good for his kids angle.

He was very visible...opposite of John.

I've just told you what's similar about them. Maybe my memory is bad, but that's how I remember it.

A) If he's not dull why haven't we seen more of him over the series?
B) Could you really see him having a sell-out tour?
C) Could you really see him having chart success?
D) In what performance did he show us something 'different' [i.e the 'X Factor']?
E) If votes translate as not being dull, how come Rachel won BB9?

At the end of the day he is dull. Nice voice, but nothing different, special or interesting about him.

depends what your definition is, in his auditions and bootcamp, he was upbeat, didn't mess up his words, nice voice, good style. what more have the others had? ..oh right yeah just messing up their words and crying.
maybe because everyone got together to vote for her to win? which is why she won and most people watching big brother like nice people and vote out the bitches? x factor and big brother are completely different, you can't really compare them.
