Mothers Day

What do you think ?
Is it a way of making money or what ?
I always buy chocs or flowers for my mam but its getting a bit boring now. I always look forward to a pressy from my 11 year old son Ryan. Whats your views ?

I always send a card and a big bunch of flowers every year. I live a long way from my mum and that way I can tell her how much she means to me even if i'm not with her

I think "Mothers Day" is nice. Even if you are skint, you can still afford a card, and it's nice to receive a card.

I don't buy into the commercialism of most of these 'days'. I don't feel obliged to buy a huge bunch of flowers or chocolates or whatever. Some years I buy my mum a nice gift and some years I just buy her a card. Usually it depends on financial circumstances.

My kids are still quite young, and often make me a card. I like that. I don't expect gifts, but I like that they spent time and effort on making me something, even if my hands end up covered in crepe paper, glitter and glue as soon as I try to open it! I still love it - It's a mum thing. :spin:

I've bought my mum a nice little trinket box.
Not very expensive, but it looks pretty, and she's always misplacing her little bits and bobs.
