When do you start and finish Christmas shopping?

When do you start and finish Christmas shopping?

I probably snoop around the shops and that in November.. I mean.. I need to purchase my advent calendar before 1st December!

I don't need to buy many presents for people. I think I finish Christmas shopping.. maybe a few days before Christmas Day?? Mmmmm..

What about you?

Smithy 14-10-2010 05:17 PM

I normally do it waaay in advance

Lewis. 14-10-2010 05:18 PM

Already done a little bit ;D

Beastie 14-10-2010 05:19 PM

^^^^^^

Ooooooo.

Stacey. 14-10-2010 05:19 PM

Will probably start Christmas shopping next week or something, and I can't be bothered really to look for any presents this year. People can just get them for me.

And normally finish a few days before Christmas, it's always really hard to find the right things. D:

I have 8 Nephews & Nieces who always want mobiles, ipods, ps games etc so I start early and get all the big stuff in for them first then get everyone elses, I have already started this years and will probably still be running around getting bits in on Christmas eve.

Woah.

We're so similar these days

MTVN 14-10-2010 05:33 PM

Normally leave it way too late and end up getting everything in one quick shop on the 22nd or something like that. I only have 5 presents to get normally so it's not that bad.

I dont really care whether people like the gift I get them either, so I just tend to think anything will do, as long as it's cheap

Niall 14-10-2010 05:38 PM

I don't start thinking about Christmas shopping until late November.

I actually buy stuff around December. I tend to procrastinate and have to do all the shopping in one hit on one Saturday lol :/

setanta 14-10-2010 05:41 PM

I know a lad who buys all his Xmas presents during the New Year sales and holds on to them for the next one.

Yeah I guess but I couldn't buy all my gifts for people in new year - it would be weird. Oh and the crowds because of the sales are a nightmare, I can't stand it lol. :conf2:

Beastie 14-10-2010 06:37 PM

My friend's birthday is in January.. so if I get something for Christmas I don't want.. I give that present to her for her birthday! Lol instead of spending money!

I do think though!! I don't just give her a random present to get rid of it. I think if she actually likes it first.

Therefore.. to all of you who was born in January.. I reckon some of your birthday presents will be someone's recycled Christmas present!

Ah sure it's always busy in the shops leading up to Xmas anyway - well, with the recession still upon us it'll be interesting to see the sales figures afterwards.

I'd hate to have a bday in the months after Xmas. I'm a summer baby which means that it's more spread out for me.

Lewis. 14-10-2010 06:39 PM

I used to sell all of my gift cards and vouchers to my mum who'd then give them to people for their birthdays and I'd just have cash .

If I did that, half way round the year I'd just have the stuff I bought then end up having to buy more presents.

Shaun 14-10-2010 06:41 PM

Usually get it all done mid-November...the latest I've ever left a present was 22nd December, and I felt panicked then. :P

Lol I have done that as well!

I would keep the voucher if it was for a shop I actually shop in!

I don't shop in M&S!

Try the night of Christmas Eve and forgetting one of your most important presents. I drove EVERYWHERE just looking for an open shop, eventually found an Argos near the city centre at about 10pm (closed at 11) and it was rammed

So last year I did it all in November

Beastie 22-10-2010 05:17 PM

I think Chanelle Hayes has done some Christmas shopping already!!!
