Gamu: 'I'm supporting Cher Lloyd'

Gamu Nhengu has reportedly said that she hopes Cher Lloyd will win this year's X Factor.

The 18-year-old, who failed to make it into Cheryl Cole's final category, admitted that she is still watching the show.

She revealed at this week's MOBO Awards: "I'm rooting for Cher. Cher, Rebecca [Ferguson] and One Direction, who are ridiculously cute. They'll go very, very far."

Nhengu added that she still "loves" the programme despite no longer being apart of it.

She explained: "I love it, because you know everybody who's in it and you're rooting for them. Everybody's been really great. The competition is crazy this year."

Nhengu also confessed that she has no hard feelings towards Cole for not choosing her to go through to the live shows.

Because some people are still bitter Cheryl chose Katie and Cher over her:rolleyes:, at least Gamu has moved on from the debacle but some haven't:joker:.

I can see this - Gamu and Cher are a similar idea, similar act, same 'ferocious kitten' thing.

Strictly Jake 23-10-2010 07:44 AM

Aww bless her. She is lovely

joeysteele 23-10-2010 08:01 AM

Very nice of her to have that attitude, however the cynic in me has me thinking, I would like to know what she says in private rather than in public on the subject, considering publicly she will want to be seen in the best light possible for personal reasons.

Privately, as with most people, it may be a different story.Of course its not beyond the realms of possiblility that she does admire Cher's style.

Which is better - An invitation to the prestigious MOBO's or slogging their guts out on a fake talent contest that they're never gonna win and will ultimately lead to bitterness and obscurity? I know which one I'd choose.

Good on Gamu for bigging up Cher.

I'm alreadt starting to forget gamu imo her first audition sounded like they altered her voice and the only reason she was so popular was because she got so much air time.

DUH...still being on the Xfactor, of course! Performing week in week out to a massive TV audience trumps one little invite to a 2nd rate awards show any day.

Any nonentity can get an invite to the bloody Mobo's. Big deal. Most of the invites would have gone to complete nobodies anyway...unless you think the entire audience was made up of famous celebrities?

Youre acting like she got to perform or summat. No.
