After a whole year away, It's Back.

With A Revamp.

Yes, Welcome to Song Star 2 the launch night!
Now sadly, I had planned to launch this at 10 so we are on almost a 2 hour delay thanks to TiBB's annoying technical difficulties!

But the show must go on!

And what a show we have tonight,

Let's take a look at the menu!

~We're going to be finding out who your Song Star 2 Contestants are!
~We'll be hearing all their performances!
~And We have 2 twists!


So some of you may already know, but for those of you that don't,

Yes, Our contestants will be singing songs that were Number 1 in the UK.
So songs you should all be aware of!


But first of all, let's find out just who are contestants are shall we?

So now you know who all are contestants are for SS2!

But it's time to reveal the first twist of the night!

Last year we had some complaints, about biased voting.
Some people would say certain people we're being eliminated, others would get through all based on the member and not the songs.

So we've decided to do something about it.

Just for the first one or two weeks,

Each contestant will remain ANONYMOUS until Sunday's result show.

This simply mean's members are voting based on the music and not the members.

But don't worry, because each member will have a 'Codename' and you will see this next to their song!

And people who also wish to comment on people's songs [Viewers] you can refer to them using their codename given!



Let's get started!

The order we're going in this week is just basic Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl!

Ready?

It's CarrotSticks performing a song that went platinum in Australia, but more importantly reached Number 1 here on May 23rd!

The next act is SandCastle with a song very recent, it went straight to Number 1 on 10/10/10!

Too good to be censored, right?
Next up is SeaLion with a song every girl wants sang to them, It knocked Katy Perry off the charts in the US and reached Number 1 here on September 26th!

Keep it rolling, we've got Tweety up next with a song that knocked X Factor 2009 Runner Up, Olly Murs straight off the charts on September 12th!

Now we move onto to Paije with a song that entered our charts on October 3rd!

Closing our launch night, it's GreenGoblin and a great Summer song that came to our charts in June 2010, You all know it!

Now, I'm not sure if everyone will be too crazy on the new format with the codenames.

It was actually an idea proposed to me by a contestant, and I like it.
But give me some feed back, I'd like to know what you all thought!

Nope not this week.

But because their's no judges, the elimination will be decided by a poll and it's likely to be more than 2 people in the bottom 2, so you get another chance to vote then :)

Or are we voting for the contestant that picked the number one, so that it all comes down to taste in music?
