I wanna be like youoooo-oo-oo

Just watching the X Factor Repeat. Anyone else love Katies performance? I couldn't help but dance and smile along!

setanta 24-10-2010 02:40 AM

I was just thinking about the Jungle Book and how great it was. Didn't someone else perform it on XFacter or BGT before? Christ, I have such a bad memory.

No, don't think so. But I'm probably wrong

Very swing/40's era and Marylin Monroe-esque

setanta 24-10-2010 02:43 AM

I'm sure somebody did it before on BGT. F£Ck.

I thought of Marilyn Monroe when I was watching it; the whole cheeky flirty persona, I really enjoyed it!

Great way to close the show. She's walked it this week I think

Zippy 24-10-2010 02:52 AM

She's mixing it up.

Could be a dark horse. I think she has had good styling past 2 weeks too.

Ninastar 24-10-2010 08:12 AM

I dont know if I smiled because shes cute or I liked the performance but I smiled so yeah :D

Harry! 24-10-2010 09:06 AM

I instatly thought of Madonna's Hanky Panky when I watched it.

Rawrbear 24-10-2010 09:07 AM

I HATE KAITE but i absolutly loved her preformance and if sh ekeeps them up i will soon learn to love her

joeysteele 24-10-2010 09:11 AM

It worked, she did it well, Katie is far from being one of my favourites but credit to her, this was different and entertaining and I loved the style she did it in.

ElProximo 24-10-2010 11:47 AM

I will say it again - listen and don't watch and you hear some amateur at a karaoke club talking through the song with really zero interesting thing but the little girl 'woopsie' sound tacked on the end of the lines.

Gorgeous set though. Zero singing happened.

Stevep 24-10-2010 11:51 AM

25/1 to win, worth a bet?

GiRTh 24-10-2010 12:11 PM

I didnt get it. I said in aother thread, it was a song with a range of about six notes and the type of thing you're given to sing in either your first or second singing lesson. I didnt see what was so brilliant about it.

Jords 24-10-2010 12:18 PM

Best performance of the night for me! Was really upbeat and fun.

You actually can't be using the word 'gay' to be describing something?

Jesus, leave that for the playground.

That's the point I think. The theme was Guilty Pleasures. They're cheesy songs you don't admit to loving.

I thought her performance was great and her voice didn't sound as strained and like she had a sore throat.

But I still don't like her, her personality puts me right off. Not a nice person at all. Too arrogant, she needs to learn to be more humble.

Tom4784 24-10-2010 12:32 PM

I thout it was going to be awful but she really made it work.

Z 24-10-2010 01:11 PM

I'm not going to bother listening to it again and just agree with what GiRTh etc are saying; vocally it wasn't challenging at all and she was treating it like a lounge singer does, talking through bits of it, but I think it actually worked well with the theatrics going on alongside her on stage; as a performance it was much more entertaining than the vast majority of everyone else last night, good way to close the show and I think could well save her from featuring in the bottom two tonight, good on her for turning it around!

Locke. 24-10-2010 01:26 PM

It was the most cringworthy performance ever, weirder than half the auditions you get. Loads of you will change your mind if you watch this back next year.

bbfan1991 24-10-2010 05:47 PM

I really liked it:D, surprising choice but it suited Katie and i'm bias because the same track was used in SCD last week!.
